I am an Englishman living in Ukraine. I am 30 years old. I am involved in Charity work here in Ukraine. I am especially interested in the ethnic culture of various countries. I also like to travel where there are Mountains.

Yes that's right, I was reading "Master and Margarita" not too long ago and I guess I got inspired.
The magic of Ukraine for me is the people and the culture. Especially ethnic culture and music.

I knew it! That`s one of my favorites books and i have read it many times...was wondering myself why namely Begemott and what do you found from your innerself in his character that choosed such nickname? ...heheheh anyway Laughing that`s not a book forum!!! Laughing
Unfortunately i don`t know anything about the culture and music but saw pics of Kiev...whoww!!! it is beautiful! even i saw and the suburbs with big homeblocks.

I don't much like the big appartment blocks myself, pretty ugly if you ask me! I lived in one once and thats even worse Sad Theres some nice Churches though. What did you find so beautiful in those photos?

About big blocks they are in all ex soviet countries but if don`t mark them the landmarks are great.

Yes Ginirover, i`ve got the same opinion and i`ll put Kiew in my travel list. But i think is better to go there in the summer as in Moscow where i lived some years and St. Petersburg cause of the cold winter ggghhhh

yep, summer is a great time to visit Ukraine. it's nice here from early spring till early autumn, then it's becoming colder and colder Wink so better plan your trip for this time Very Happy

Out of interest, does blue have a special meaning as a lot of the buildings seem to be in light blue and white.
