Pinky & the Brain was reverse reverse psychology at it's best.
- They firstly convince people that two cartoon mice could take over the world
- Then people realise this might be reverse psychology and thus maybe it's real
- Then people figure that they are too clever to fall for reverse psychology
So now anyone who claims the MICE really do run the world is just thought to be either too stupid to see through the reverse psychology, or nuts. I have been silenced by a couple of cartoon mice...what a way to go...!

The famous Drake equation seems to point to at least 1000 alien civilizations within this galaxy alone! So where are they? Perhaps they haven't had time to reach us or they are down here already.
Personally in such situations I follow the advice of my lifelong hero and guru, Tom Cruise. Ever since I saw him pull that woman in Top Gun using his mighty motorcycle I've known he can answer all questions of a philosophical nature, and so it is I pass his kowledge on to you. Aliens HAVE visited us, praise be ZEDU!

Oh, they're out there. I just wonder why they feel the need to come see us.
In the words of Fred Adams and Greg Laughlin, the distances and energy requirements for interstellar travel are such that "Any thinking civilization may just stay at home." |

Such a cool idea to think that with the almost infinate amounts of planets out there, there is more than likely several versions of earth, all at different stages of development...one in the dinosaur age, another a few millenia ahead of us who have been space born for a long time, already exploring _________________ http://www.trip-extras.com |

Hollow...I worry about you...! The guy's not even that good looking anymore and since he went all nuts, well, I think all that flying in Top Gun did him some damage. Then again, maybe Tom Cruise is an alien...? [I shall now await the law suit]
Travel_Addict triggered an idea in my head when Independence Day was mentioned. Why would any aliens actually bother to wipe us out when we're probably going to do the job ourselves pretty effectively. Then they can takeover the planet and not one shot needs to be fired.
A while back I had a similar thought to that mentioned by Fandalaar when I conceived the theory of armchair aliens. In otherwords, we have this idea that the aliens will be desperate to explore the galaxy, but what happens if they're all couch potatoes? We could be the only ones actually exploring anything out there.
Finally for this post - has anyone considered the environmental impact of all this space travel? The co/2 emmitted alone will be enough to clog up the nearest black hole and that really is bad news for the continued existance of the galaxy...!

The lawyers must be sharpening their pencils right now, no one can diss the Cruiser and be left unpunished.

Yes very good question, perhaps Climate Camp 3007 shall be taking place on the dark side of the moon to highlight this very issue! _________________ Devon Holidays | Airport Parking |

They'd probably be scared away by the movie "Independence Day." That or see it as an overt work of racism. |

Oh, defintiely! Hell, if you take into account the infinite number of parallel universes, there's a similar number of worlds.
So, next time your resident "Star Trek" nerd tells you it's real, throw him for a loop and tell him, "Yes, yes it is." |

As an ET myself I have found this to be the most telling and intelligent human discussion yet. And to think we were going to waste our time with trying to remolecularise Einstein!
Yes, I am typing this with my brainwaves....

I´m pretty sure that inteligent life exists in more than one place in the universe but the chances of two species actually existing at the same time and meeting must be pretty remote. Anyhow, read a good book last year: "Aliens why they are here" by Brian Appleyard which was quite interesting. _________________ http://www.charmingvillas.net/

Am very sure that that their do exists another life form away from earth.
And, they also wants to be in contact to our life form, thats why they visit our earth.
There are many instants in which humans have seen those aliens.
Many have also written books about them and after reading them you will also believe them. _________________ Ski in Valle Nevado,Portillo or Farellones… I'm your guy |

Pfft you guys! lol Don't you know about the Galactic Federation and the protection of non space faring "intelligent" life inhabited planets law passed in ....well I don't remember when. But the point is any Non Earth originated species coming to this planet is forbidden and that's why you never see them (the punishment is pretty severe).
You see most of what you can find on Earth can be obtained easier in space. If you don't want to mine the basice minerals and elements yourself there is always the barter guild.
The one thing that is unique to this planet (and all really) are it's complex bio chemicals: Animals, plants .....us. So the Federation (Galactic Marshals mostly) protect us little guys from the savage Alien Mafia .....no one here is supposed to even know about it
....oops |

Having just come across this discussion It dawned on me that we don't really know who we are communicating with on forums. If I was an alien I might find the free information source on the planet i.e teh Interwebs *lol and question people incognito.....
so my question is, which one of you is an alien??? _________________ Ewan Rowden
