I have just recently tried Octopus in a Thai dish ( yellow chillies ground up with garlic ) then Basil ( kaproa ) and fish sauce added in at the end. My question is what is the differences if Squid and Octopus and apart size is it texture ?

I wonder what happened to the famous octopuss Paul who predicted a lot of correct results at the world cup this year. I know there were reports of him dying recently but I wonder if he was used in a stir fry or given a burial at sea?

They were planning on having a burial plot within the grounds of the Oberhausen Sea Life Centre in Germany but I'm not sure if that's what they did in the end...

I hate seafood, but on a recent trip to Vietnam I tried squid and I have to say it was alright. It tastes like eating rubber, which is probably why I can just about stand it!

I live on the coast of Maine and eat a fair amount of squid. If properly cooked it is not rubbery at all. Fried squid with sea salt over fresh greens is easy and delicious. When I have had octopus which is not as often it had a different texture and flavor. I mean the part that you eat is different as well, on the octopus you eat mostly the tentacles I think, and on a squid it is the actual body. I saw this special on Galicia in Spain and they turned the octopi inside out to kill them. It was crazy.

It's like a rubber because it was overcooked. If the squid is cooked properly it's not a rubber and it's delicious. i love a squid stuffed with prawns, tomatoes, mince with garlic and onion. hmmm yummy

I prefer to eat squid over octopus. Grilled squid for me is really really delicious, this one is the best sea food I ever ate.

A few years ago when I was on holiday in Gran Canaria the restaurant served what I thought was an 'Onion ring' when it was 'Octopus/Squid' in batter. That was the first time I tasted this. The texture was similar to an onion ring, but tasted very sea-like to me.
