Pineapple

I Have a pineapple plant in the garden , with a very small pineapple, not sure how long it will take to be ready to eat , would upload picture but not sure how I do that.

Can a pineapple plant stand the winters in the Belfast region ? I always thought it was more like a tropic plant...

Yes Belfast is my home town and a pineapple would have no chance but I now spend most of my time in Thailand...
