Hi,

I wonder if anybody can give me details about the ferry from Corfu to Saranda (Albania). Is there any official timetable available via the internet?

Thanks!
Christian

Hi Christian,
In case anybody gives a reply to your question about the ferry Albania-Corfu, I hope you will advice me. I am going to Albania next week and would love a trip to Corfu as well.
Thanks and regards

Hello both of you... Smile

I did some ferreting around to see what I could find out. It appears that there are no official timetables which could explain why you've had difficulty finding one! Wink

The first ferries to leave (there are a number of different companies) usually set sail between 8 and 10am Albanian time, and the last ferry leaves Saranda for Corfu reputedly at around 2.30pm Albanian time.

Apparently, times can change, though, and you are best checking at the port upon arrival.

Hope this helps.

Aaron

Very Happy Hi Aaron
Thanks for your quick reply - did you find out how long time it takes to travel to Corfu? And the costs?

The ferry journey takes just over an hour. A few years back it was 4000 drachmas for a single ticket and 6000 for a return so I guess today there'll be a small increase on that amount. I believe some of the ferries take cars but I'm not sure what costs are involved there.

One small tip... the tickets are only valid for the journey that they are purchased. If you're not sure exactly when you're returning (if indeed you are returning), it might be advisable just to get two single tickets as and when you need them.

Enjoy your trip and let us know how you get on...

Aaron
