Hi everyone.
Well onto the inportant task of introducing myself, how exciting
Well first off My name is Tegan which funnily enough is also my username (crazy world I know!). I have been a member of the human race for the last 22 years and am currently living in deepest darkest Devon in the UK. At the moment I'm right in the middle of my final exams for my degree in Wildlife Conservation so everyone keep your fingers crossed for me. I also work in a bar which is fun and it pays the bills.
I've been travelling round since I can remember. Helps having a Dad in the forces. I was born in Germany, had a small stint in Thailand and then moved to Saudi Arabia at the age of 5. Lived there with the folks til I was 8 then came back to the UK. Since then I have spent time in Central America, Australia, most of the med, here there and everywhere. Most recently I went to Borneo to do some survey work in the rainforest. Loved the place so much ended up staying on for an extra 3 months. As for places I would like to go the list is endless. South America is definitely high on my hitlist and I would like to see more of Asia. Oh and I really want to go to Canada too. In fact I want to go everywhere and see everything.
What type of travel do I enjoy?? Well all the travel I have done has been budget and so far it's worked for me. If one day I win the lottery I might take a stab at a bit of luxury and I'll let you know how it goes, but for now budget is the way forward (damn that student loan!).
I have lots of other interests as well as travel. I really love watersports and am a qualified dive master. Highlights have been diving the red sea and meso-americana reef. I'm currently learning to surf but I have to be honest I really suck at it. Anything by the beach always gets the thumbs up from me. I also enjoy walking. I live right next to Dartmoor so there is plenty of oppurtunity for some good treks. I'm a huge fan of animals and wildlife, hence the degree. I've volunteered at so many places and always really enjoy that. That's all I can think of for interests at the mo.
And finally how did I stumble on this forum. Well it would have to be google the all knowing all seeing eye!!
So that's me, sorry I blabbed on for a bit!
Tegan x |

That was quite comprehensive. So, what race were you a member of 23 years ago?
All the best for your exams, hope it goes well and that you manage to land a field job you want.
You may curse the student loan, but you have been blessed with long summer breaks for a few years! (Of course - you use that to pay of the last set of debt...) _________________ Panoramic Earth.com - Travel Guide & Panoramic Photos

Cracking intro. Welcome to the forum. I spent a few years in Devon and then a few in Cornwall. I also suck at surfing but it did not stop me from contuinuously going out in all weathers to keep trying. My board is tucked away in the garage now though as I live in the Midlands.

You are kidding right Peter?
I'm sure, like many students these days, Tegan's Christmas, Easter and Summer are spent working to earn money to minimise that bleedin' Government debt. It's certainly what I did.
Hi Tegan,
Haven't Aaron and I seen you somewhere before, or was it really google that delivered you into our friendly little community.
Having been born in Kernow, I'm undecided about you Devonians (and Germans!).
Welcome into AT, thanks for such a great intro post, and enjoy joining in with the many and varied discussions on locations you've either been to ot dream of visiting.
