Hi

I have travelled a bit in the previous years and I have had more or less all the shots that I need. But in connection with my trip to Thailand in May I was also recommend to take shots for Hepatitis B. This is a shot that I have to take three times...I got the first shot a few days ago, then I will get a shot in a month and last in 6 months. I have to pay about 325 kroner (about 50 US dollars) for the actual dose and another 30 US dollars to get it done. So in the end I will have paid about 250 US dollars for this. A small price to avoid this viral infection of course but it feels quite expensive. Do you normally get all the shots you need before travelling and how much do you have to pay?

Yes, we also did take our shots (Hepatitis B and some other diseases), but they were a bit less expensive than yours...
We paid about 45 euros per shot and took three of them, so ended up with about 135 Euro in the end. We're now protected for life, so the money is well spent.....

My Hepatitis A and B series were covered by insurance mostly. I think I paid $30 for the whole A+B set.

I only ever paid for Yellow fever and the price now for that varies between £30- £60 .
All other cost of jabs is up to your Doctor
