Me and three of my friends are moving to Mackay in October 2008. We all have jobs and are saving every penny we make(estimated $30,000 each Canadian) and are getting jobs as Cabinet Makers when we are there. We are planning on moving there for a year and I was wondering if anybody new any good furnished places to live there or around there. Im also wondering what there is to do around Mackay and the Whitsunday islands. Also, any other suggestions about living in Australia would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you. |

Just from Googling.... not meant to be a particular advertisment.

Whitsundays? You dont know what to do? Apart from sailing, scuba diving, sunbaking, fishing, restauranting, visiting rainforests and islands....
You're moving to a tropical largish country town. Expect to sweat a bit. |

Thanks for the info. I also have another question. Does anyone know a site where I can find out about leasing a car in Australia? Thanks. |
