Arnold--
I attempted to add my travel site to Aardvark without success. I followed every instruction diligently, but couldn't get clear of the first page. Is there a limit on the number of keywords allowed? Or a maximum number of characters for a site description? These were the only two things I could think of that might have triggered a rejection, even though they were not specified.

If you're not getting past the first page, then yes, you're doing something wrong. The problem will be highlighted in red. For example, if you attempted to add an excess number of keywords (which is a possible cause), there will be red text alongside that field highlighting the issue when you attempt to submit.

Aaron

PS - Please shorten your sig file here - the maximum length allowed is 3 lines. Thanks...

Aaron (sorry for the Arnold)

Let me try again and see if I produce the same results by carefully reading the help text.

Can you tell me the exact number of keywords I'm allowed to enter?
Also, is there a limit on the number of characters or words in the description of a site?

Thanks for your help to this point.

Chris

It's not done by number of keywords, it's by number of characters. I don't have the exact number to hand - it might be 256.

Yes, of course... it wouldn't be logical for us to allow descriptions of unlimited length. Again, it's a similar limit - a couple of sentences is normally suffice.

Regards

Aaron

PS - You didn't edit your sig file on here so I've deleted it. If you wish to re-instate a sig, please enter one that complies with the '3 lines' rule. Thanks.

Aaron,

None of your pull down categories seemed to fit our site.

We are a travel site that lets you type in your trip info once and then compare prices on all the major travel sites....Expedia, Travelocity, Orbitz....

We also are a major aggregator of special travel deals in all categories (flight, hotel, cruise, vacation...) for all parts of the world.

I tried to list us as North America, but then the process required a subcategory of a state. That was a shoe that didn't fit, either.

I was expecting to see a category like On-line travel agency. Or Travel Price Comparisons. Or Special Travel Deals. Can you make a recommendation please as to what might best fit your system.

Finally...just a suggestion, but adding a specific number of characters to your instructions might alleviate issues with signing in. Many such sites have little number counters that let you know where you are in the process, too, that are friendly to use.

Your help is appreciated!

Thanks,
Chris

The "Travel Resources & Advice > Internet Resources > Other Information" shoudl fit the bill, from what you describe.
