What's the longest you've ever stayed in one hotel continuously? I often read about people staying several months in a hotel, and it'd be interesting to see just how rare (or how common this is). Feel free to vote in the poll...

12 nights. It was a two work week trip to Chicago. Arrived on Sunday, stayed over the weekend, and returned the following Thursday.
Great Hotel and Location, but I was sure glad to get home after that trip! |

When my husband and I moved from Hawaii to Seattle we first stayed with friends in Hawaii for 3 weeks. Our lease had run out and we weren't quite ready to leave! After living, four of us in a one bedroom 600 SF apartment, we were glad to move into our own place. However, when we got to Seattle, we had trouble finding an apartment that we could move into right away. We spent another 4 weeks living in a military hotel. Not exactly the best time of my life.
I have no desire to ever spend that much time in a hotel again! _________________ Michelle

I had to stay in a hotel in Boston for 3 weeks at a time when I was working for a company with HQ in Boston. I would have preferred an appartement, but the company had preferrential rates and in the end the hotel was cheaper than an appartement.
Not nice not being able to cook a small dish or even have breakfast in a hotel room, for evey bite to eat one has to go to a restaurant or buy buscuits in a supermarket. _________________ African Safari Holidays

I lived in the Marriott Residence Inn for 4 months while in San Antonio. Also spent 3 months in the Summerfield Suites in Pleasanton, California. Of course, those are extended stay hotels - with small kitchenettes and they are meant for long term stays.
The longest I have stayed in a full-service hotel was 5 weeks in Denver, Coloardo at the Marriott downtown. |

Longest is Just a Week, Though we have stay away longer before but they couldnt book us for the whole time so we had to change hotels half way through it was a very busy period.
I doubt i would actually mind extended stays in hotels i just love to be able to get away from some people and be on my own a bit. _________________ Joel |

I stayed 2 weeks in Hanoi just because it was a groovy city (annex 1995). We found a small hotel (or was it an upgraded guesthouse ? ) where the owner guided us around the city. Wake up in the morning, getting arabica coffee and french croissants at the Hoa Kiem Lake after a session of tai chi or badminton with the Vietnamese : well, it is one of my top 5 cities ever ! _________________ Around 2500 pictures from Nepal /Nepal /

| My longest hotel stay was at a hotel, The Gulf Hotel in Manama Bahrain, for 6 weeks. It was a holiday, combined with a bit of work. I enjoyed it, but since then have decided to rather get an apartment or suite for stays longer than 2 weeks....one gets really tired of hotel food and having to accomodate housekeeping etc in your routine. |

| We always continuously move around while on holiday, so the longest hotel-stay I can think of is 3 nights in one place.... We also never bother to unload our luggage and use the cupboards and drawers - time is too short to keep ourselves busy with that... |
