Me and my boyfriend are off trekking around the world commencing this summer. India, SE Asia, China, HK, Thailand, Vietnam, Australia, Peru, Brazil. What would you recommend to bring for 8-12 months of travel. Did Europe 2 summers ago and suffered from the 'too much weight on the back' syndrome and don't want to repeat. HELP!!!!! |

1 spare t-shirt
1 spare underpants
1 spare pants
1 jacket
1 hat
1 spare part of socks
1 bulb + extra batteries
1 swiss knife
1 master/visa card
shampoo
tooth brush
razer
first aid kit + medicines
sun glasses
That is all I had with me on a 3 month trip through Vietnam
It is a question of not overweighting your pack, which is easily done : you will find yourself buying t-shirts, pant, slippers on your way over, so don't bother too much of starting off with a full pack.
When sending things back home, use DHL : found them to be the best on my different trips
Good luck,
