Czech beers are undeniably the best in the world.

Here's a list of my favorites:

1. Pilsner Urquell; is the prototype golden beer, and absolutely the best of its class. If, when you think "lager", American macros come to mind, oh boy, are you in for a surprise. My favorite beer, hands down.

2. Staroparmen Kelt: An Irish-style stout with lighter, maltier influences that go surprisingly well with the coffee and chocolate flavors. I have yet to see this beer outside of Czech.

3. Krusovice Cerny--an excellent dark lager, one of the best I've ever had.

Oh yes, czech beers are very good.....someone mentioned kozel I can recommend that one too

Yeah, Kozel's pretty good--not my favorite, but it's definitely the most affordable. What is it, 10 crowns for a half-liter in a supermarket?

Also, while you're in Czech, check out the Absinth! It's very different from French Absinthe, but is consumed the same way (water, sugar etc). Make sure you go into the countryside (Jesenik area's is the best), because in the cities all you can get is low-quality tourist stuff.

Hope this helps. Happy drinking! Very Happy

I like German and Check beer the most. No not the most, but a lot - i had to say this because i'm from Lithuania - beautiful girl and good beer land.
So if you want to try real beer, you should go to Lithuania!!!
I'm not kidding - we're the winners of lots beer's competition in Europa, even in all the world.
You should know names likes Svyturys, Extra, Kalnapilis... Razz

Czech beers are great...Pilsner is classic, I also like Holba or Svijany... I think that Gambrinus or Staropramen are euro-beers, don´t like them at all...

Ok! In my opinion, Czech lagers are among the best in the world. You may also want to sample the Moravian wines or the absinthe, reputedly Van Gogh's preferred tipple, traditionally taken with caramelized sugar mixed into a highly alcoholic beverage.

Moreover, you also can go to a small baroque town of Sremski Karlovci in Serbia if you have a chance. This place is also famous for quality wines. It is on the slopes of the Fruska Gora Mountain. You can travel to enjoy the sightseeing of this independent little town. You must visit the famous wine cellar of Zivanovic family, hear an interesting story about the making of wine and honey, and be sure to taste probably the best honey and world famous Bermet wine.

I hope you will be really interesting to enjoy beers.
Cheers!

A good alternative to Czech beers would be Russian ones. Though they don't have that much kick as the other ones, they are still very good and will be a great treat.

Hehe Smile As I'm Polish I have to recommend you some Polish beers. Some people say that they are just the best. The most famous and good beers from Poland are: Tyskie, Lech and Zywiec. However, you should try some other "less known" beers as well for example Ciechan Miodowy (with flavour of honey) and Zywe Piwo (unpasteurized).

Oh, and btw Smile beer is 'piwo' in Polish - that's the magic word you want to know before your visit to our country Smile

Euro-beers are this ones, which come with lemon and other "taste" and are for girls in their 40"s or older. Such beers are around 2% of alcohol and cannot do much "disaster" to drank girls, unless they drink 40 of them... Very Happy
Drank girls tends to be sleepy! I guess so...
