In Adelaide itself I would say that for anyone from a Commonwealth country will probably like to see the Don Bradman museum on North Tce. SA Museum is worth a look a little up the street and also the Art Gallery. Botanic Gardens are a nice walk. Tandanya on Grenfell St is good for some Aboriginal culture.
Food and coffee is great in Adelaide, forget about Melbourne they're just a backwater when it comes to eating and drinking.
Try anywhere along Gouger St you'll have to try hard to find a bad meal.
As for wineries take your pick, enough has been said in previous posts Barossa, McLaren Vale or Adelaide Hills - All Good!
As for beaches Glenelg is the easiest to get to but Brighton is better and Grange is better too. Henley Beach is good for Restaurants.
All up Adelaide is pretty quiet and we've got no water but you can have a pretty good time here. _________________ David Cronk, Editor

Adelaide is one of the best cities in the world. It is a flourishing city with bounty of attractions, its restaurants, entertainment and a good base for exploring the nearby areas. There are lots of tourists attractions over there, some of the best attraction are listed below:
• Ayers House
• Henley Beach
• National Wine Centre of Australia
• Tandanya
• Adelaide Zoological Gardens
• Henley Beach
• Adelaide Aquatic Centre
If anyone wants to plan to visit there I suggest that you must see these places which I mention above. _________________ Romantic Bed and Breakfast | Cabin Rental Luray VA | Luray Caverns Cabins |

Here's an update 2 years later - WE NOW HAVE WATER. Well some anyway. Hopefully more if those thieving scum from the Eastern States don't steal it all for their shitty cotton and rice farms. As for Gux not sure if he's been to Adelaide - I wouldn't call Adelaide Aquatic Centre a tourist attraction and I go there a bit.
Zoo is worth a look now with the Pandas we've loaned from China. _________________ David Cronk, Editor

One of the best spots that you can go to in Adelaide is the Barossa Valley. This is where they make some of the country's best wines. If you are lucky enough, you can easily get a sample of them here or buy one for a low price. _________________ Looking for a jobs in australia - PrincipalVisas.Com |

| Don't neglect the Murray River... it's probably our country's most famous waterway for a reason. We went on a cruise there a couple of years ago and it was great! |

Update from Adelaide 2 years later. We've still got water here - for now as we've been out of drought for a few years. Adelaide Zoo going broke becasue the Pandas are eating us out of house and home - less eating more nookie. They want some baby Pandas to show off.
Yes the winery areas are a great attraction so too The Adelaide Central Market _________________ David Cronk, Editor

I loved adelaide. If I had to live in Australia, it would be in Adelaide. While the city is excellent and the surrounding hills are great, my heart goes out to the nearby Flinders Ranges. I worked at Arkaroola for 5 months a few years back and it was truly breath taking. Unmatched in beauty, as far as I am concerned. I did the outback tours, heli tours and all sorts of hiking during my days there. Incredible.
For me, it gets no better than the Flinders Ranges. _________________ How I work abroad. Where I travel abroad. |
