|
|
| Hi, i have decided that i'm going to take a holiday in South America this year, but am not sure where to go. I would really like to see Mexico or Brazil, but i've been told that Cuba is incredible, so not sure. Is there anywhere that i simply must go? Any thoughts? |

Mexico and Cuba are Central America, not South America (well, they are Latin America, that's true again..)
As to where you want to go : it all depends on your intrests - all three countries you mention have their advantages (and disadvantages). If you're a first-timer to South America I'd rather adivse you Chile or Argentina. Especially Chile is good if you go to that part of the world for the first time. |

Well, all these are good which are mentioned by you. IMO, you can visit Cuba which is a home to extremely pleasant citizens, exotic flora, steamy weather and an exciting nightlife.
You’ll see lots of interesting places over there like Baracoa, Cayo Largo, Maria la Gorda. Acuario Nacional, Castillo del Morro and El Rincon etc. Cuba also offers to visitors for great trekking and hiking opportunities like the “Sierra Maestra mountain” range and the “Pico Turquino”.
Moreover, the weather of Cuba in July is approximately 20C to 34C. So, I’d definitely recommend you to take a tour towards this place your tour would be memorable. _________________ Romantic Bed and Breakfast | Cabin Rental Luray VA | Luray Caverns Cabins |

Peru offers a variety of climates, landscapes and cultures. From de coastal desert with beautiful and rich valeys, to Andes lanscapes and high lands and Amazon jungle with the greates biodiversity of the world.
Lima is the capital of Peru and the main gate to the rest of Peru. The touristic district in Lima is Miraflores which is located by the Pacific Ocean ( Miraflores beach). Here you can find a lot of fun and attractions, for example, the best restaurants of international and peruvian food togheter with fast food and cozy cafeterias; shooping modern malls such as Larco Mar located over the high reefs looking to the ocean and wonderful sunsets; the best nadicrats market (Av. Petit Thouars), casinos, cinemas, live shows, and cyber cafes.
For sport people: surfing the waves in Miraflores beach or paragliding the high reefs over the ocean.
The night life is very active, people going around, also the Parque Kenedy, the pizzas street, and the like...
If you would like to save money in accomodation in Lima, you could send me a message.
Then, you take your plane and visit Cusco and one of the sven wonders of the world: Machu Picchu, the fortress by the clouds. The next visit should be the Manu jugle which is close to Cusco.
or, you may want to the warm beaches in the north of Peru and to make the noreast circuit: Trujillo, Lambayeque, Cajamarca, and Amazonas.
I assure you it will be a great experience. |

| I'm a big fan of Argentina. It really has everything you could ever want. Buenos Aires is a great cosmopolitan city with some fantastic culture, cuisine, and museums. Mendoza is a rustic wine country located along the Andes mountains. Patagonia is an outdoor adventure paradise and Iguazu, near the Brazil border, is super scenic and a fun rain forest to explore for a day or two. It's the only place I've been in South America - but I gotta say I loved it! |

With out doubt you need to head to Peru! Peru is one of the finest destinations in South America, and is full of interesting history, hiking oportunities, rafting etc etc...
This year in July is the 100th anniversary of Machu Picchu and it is sure to be a super party. |

Yep indeed there are great places in Brazil if you like beaches and some historical places...
You should try to go to Parati, São Paulo, Rio, MInas Gerais (Tiradentes, São João del Rey, Ouro Preto) and it's always cool to know Bahia.
In Mexico (that is not indeed South America, and yes is Central) you could go to the meaning cities... Like Mexico city... or Cancun... is just that i don't know there.. so i don't have to much to say... more than that.. the people are saying that Mexico is a country that the crimes are growing too much... We know that Brazil is not too soft too... but the people and the international rankings are saying really bad things about Mexico.
Peru is a great destiny if you like history... is a poor country but the food is good in general and the Inca civilization past is all there... the place is amazing!
If you go to Uruguay there are beautiful places to go too, but my preferred is Colonia. The city is really sweet... such a nice place to relax... but go too to Montevideo, Punta Del Este and all this stuff..
Argentina has nice places.. my favourite two are: Patagonia and Mendoza. In one you can have the contact with the pure and cold nature and in the other you have this same contact next to there and the Andes in the "Puente del Inca" and you also can taste great wines and food.
...
Chile is wonderful too! The Andes are the meaning thing there... try to go to the capital too... enjoy the wines there too that actually are great... this kind of stuff. Niceee nice place to visit.
hmm... well... i don't know... backpack in the South America sometimes can be dangerous if you don't pay attention to some problems in the area... but is great because you know nice nice places |

Hey, here i found some nice places to visit in Brazil:
http://journeytown.net/2012/02/24/brazil-where-to-go/
the article is really general, but you can have some ideas of where to go and then look up in some other guide such as Lonely Planet and even that ones that they sell on the libraries without a famous name!! =D |

I would also suggest Argentina
Argentina is home to some of the best tourist attractions in South America., and with its rich Spanish culture, you will find it a culturally rich destination when it comes to music, dance, architecture and most especially food. Here, because of its diverse climate, you can do a myriad of things from hiking in the rainforests to skiing or trekking the glaciers, from immersing yourself in culture and history to taking part in eco-tours, from enjoying the rich food and night life to nights of camping and days of diving. Here are 10 things you can do or go to in this fabulous country:
1.) Buenos Aires
2.) Cordoba
3.) Pampas
4.) Tiera del Fuego
5.) Patagonia
6.) Iguazu Waterfalls
7.) Mendoza
8.) Talampaya
9.) Valdez Peninsula, Chubut
10.) Puerto Madryn |

I know I can't be totally objective here, since I live here for over a year now. Though, I would suggest you to try colombia.
The country offers so much diversion, from the amazonas in the south to the andes and further up to the north the carribean. I would highly recommend you to read a bit more about this awesome country and maybe, if you made the right choice , we could meet up here in Pereira!
Good luck on your journey!
