Hi, my next trip - Italy !
I'm going to visit Raffaello hotel, which is family-run, elegant and well-run hotel, and is set in a quiet street, in a pleasant Rome area, less than ten minutes walk from Rome's Termini Station. The Coliseum is a short walk away.
There are some nice bars and restaurants nearby, as my friends told me.
I would like to visit Rome again, as I have not been there for ten years !! |

Hi! Well, I think this will be my last visit to Rome. The city is overcrowded, too much commercial, etc. etc. too-much "touristic"
I really prefer smaller towns on the coast and if I would like to see some heritage, I will visit Florence. Beautifull place, still overcrowded but much smaller than Rome.
Can you recommend small town, near UK south-coast, to spend few days to be lazy and relax Paul ?
Have a nice day! |

Living in the north of the couintry, I'm less familiar with the south coast, but there are lots of lovely places across the whole of the south coast. I'm not sure precisely what you're looking for, but have a look at the likes of Brighton, Bournemouth, Eastbourne, and across into Devon and Cornwall.
Better still... head for the north! Have a look at our apartment (in my sig) which is situated on a river in a lovely town in Cumbria, and not many miles from the coast, too. _________________ UK Hotels - UK Selfcatering - UK B&Bs - UK Attractions

Hi,
North of the country ? Omg! I am frightened, its too close to Scottish "Barbarians" I am joking, of course!
I really love the south coast and enjoyed last visit to Isle of Wight and Lymington area...lovely places. Have got a very good summer weather in July, few years ago, when there.
I am always lucky to see wild horses, on the south. Horses was walking slowly like on holidays , stopping car traffic ! This is lovely feature of that region.
Cumbria, have to read more about.... |

Why you are biased?
I like the country "feel" and it could be the best place to do some lazy days...hehe. I was raising in 400.000 city so, I value staying in villages.
This is good, nowadays, you do not have to fight with Scottish warriors for land ...and...interesting!....I collect Isle of Man stamps, which is not so far way, by canoe
But, back to reality, I wasn't much to north, except Gatwick airport |

I'm biased because I live here and have a two businesses here. I'm therefore perhaps more inclined than someone more impartial to recommend a holiday here.
You really should - at least one day - venture further north than Gatwick. I'm sure I'm not alone here in believing the most beautiful parts of the UK are in the north of England, and indeed north of the border. To be fair, I'm rather partial to Devon and Cornwall, too, mind... _________________ UK Hotels - UK Selfcatering - UK B&Bs - UK Attractions

Hi...Yeahhh... I know what do you mean. Cumbria is your birthplace, Paul?
I do not say, never! One day, I will visit some north parts, maybe, maybe.
But the south is so sweet, the country and the coast!
For sure, I would like to spend few days on Isle of Man. Very ezoteric place |

No, I wasn't born in Cumbria. I was born in Manchester. There isn't much on the Isle of Man, you know... there are (IMHO) far more interesting places to visit. I think I'm writing in saying that Cumbria and the Lake District is the most popular UK destination after London (in terms of visitor numbers), but don't quote me on that...
There's a reason... you should take a closer look. _________________ UK Hotels - UK Selfcatering - UK B&Bs - UK Attractions
