Go to Belgium but avoid Brussels. Go to Antwerp, Bruges and Gent. |

| Gent is very nice, is less known for tourists and it has many landmarks; you get the local feeling and the provincial European way of life, worth trying something different than the eternal capitals. |

| My personal favorites are Barcelona and Venice. Of course, being from Croatia I would have to recommend Zagreb. It has the flair of Vienna with an eastern european flavor, great shopping and amazing history. It is a shame that people go there mostly to pass through on their way to the sea coast and because it's the capital. Great concerts in Zagreb also! |

| It's got to be Edinburgh - it has the history, architecture, and brilliant nightlife. |

| My vote goes to Berlin, got the best party city, super cheap living, great art and museums, lots of music, bars, clubs, green spaces, cool people. Everything basically! |

Paris is overcrowded and is located in Western part of Europe !!!
This is topic about best East European city.
It's all depends, what you are looking for?? For heritage? Prague in Czech Republic and Kraków in southern Poland are the best options |
