Top Ten World's Least Visited Countries

Here is the list from 10 -1 (numbers are tourists who visit per year)

10. Comoros - 15,000
9. Solomon Islands - 14,000
8. Central African Republic - 14,000
7.Sao Tome and Principe - 12,000
6. Turkmenistan - 8,000
5. Moldova - 7,000
4. Marshall Islands - 6,000
3. Tajikistan - 4,000
2. Kiribatu - 3,900

and the least visited country....

1. Tuvalu - 1,100

Any one been to any of these?

Not me... the country I've been to which I guess would be highest on the list would be Greenland. Do you know where that ranked?

Not sure about Greenland unfortunately

The ones on the list had such low numbers because of visa difficulties, limits on tourist numbers, difficulty to get to and/or sheer ghastliness of the place!

Greenland doesn't show, presumably classified as part of Denmark. Otherwise I'd have expected it to maybe be ranked as one of the ten least visited. Afterall, it only has a population of around 55,000.

That will be Moldova. It is in eastern Europe though not part of the EU

By the way, why do you guys say that Greenland should be highest in the list? I've searched in Google and I think the place is cute. Just sad that the ice sheets are slowly melting.

I didn't know about Marshall Island too. I did a little research and I found out that it's an island country in the pacific ocean.

I think I want to go to Sao Tome and Principe if ever I will get my friends approval of going there as a group since we love to do snorkelling and jungle adventure. Hopefully the travel transportation there is not that high or not that long too.

Yes, I think war and danger must be the best 'want-to-visit-repellent'. You would think of Congo, Liberia and of course the regimes with agressive ideological regimes like North Korea, Cambodia and Iran. Syria would be up there at the moment as well.
