Hi all,

Me and a few mates are looking at going away next October for one week, to celebrate the 30th birthdays of a few of us.

We want to go somewhere really different that is a bit more unusual to your regukar destinations (so being UK based probably although definitely outside Europe), want to do a sky dive and other adventure type activities, and want there to be the chance of a few great nights out wherever we are. Our initial thought was Costa Rica may be a good bet, but i'm sure there must be some great ideas on here. Any tips or suggestions really welcome.

Cheers

Well I'd surely say New Zealand if you had the funds, but a week there is not enough when so much travel has to be factored in... Costa Rica is an awesome option for adventure travel though! They are getting a really good adrenaline junkie reputation Smile Other than that I'd have to say the US, where you can jump out of a perfectly good airplane pretty much anywhere!

Cheers for that - NZ would be ace, but sadly the week limiting factor rules it out. The US would be loads of fun, but we have all been before, and isn't as different as we maybe want. I am excited about Costa for sure!

I've heard a lot of great things about Costa Rico and the adventure trips there. I am looking to book a trip there in 2012. When is the best time to go?

Hi, thanks for ideas. We have settled on Beunos Aires and Iguazu falls, so any tips of good companies to do adventure activities with out there, or general guidance is really appreciated
