My favorite! Newfoundland (Born and raised there) and Labrador. If you enjoy the great outdoors these two Providences are amazing! Lots of hiking trails, fly fishing, boating, and not to mention Newfoundland is full of history. It is the first place the vikings landed and Marconi sent the first wireless message from Signal Hill in St.John's! Labrador has excellent snowmobile trails...one of the trails start at Lab City and it go's all the way to Nain, which is in northern Labrador!!!

Do a search for Gros Morne National Park ( I couldn't post the link)...it's in Newfoundland, the pictures are beautiful. and breath taking =)

cause the water reflection I saw was sooooooo beautiful!!!
if you take o picture of the reflection, turn it upside down
& you'll see the trees, stones clearly!!!

I'm from Vancouver Island, so just about anywhere here is good, Tofino, Parksville Beach, Victoria, Nootka Sound.
Algonquin Park in a canoe, the Gatineau Hills in fall, Old Montreal or Quebec for the beautiful women, the North Saskatchewan bush, Jasper, Kelowna.
Here's a photo gallery of a very recent jaunt to Tofino, surf, sand and sunset in February.

Banff and Jasper area, comfort but also great hikes and scenery!

Oh yes!

And Whistler Blackcomb is one of the finest resort areas in all the world. The skiing is amazing. 5000 feet of vertical drop, It take 3 quad lifts to reach the top. 100 ski runs on each mountain. One run is 7 miles long down the back side of whistler. It is just and amazing and wonderful resort!

Great in the summer too. Top notch golf and mountain biking!

Everything about the place is just supurb!

My only visit to Canada so far has been across the border at Niagara Falls, but the views are so much better there.

But there are some specific places in Canada that I would like to visit.

One is Nova Scotia, first to Halifax and then a trip to Oak Island. I read about the "Money Pit" on Oak Island as a 11 year old boy in 1966 and would like to see it for myself, even if it is only a hole in the ground.

I also want to ride the Rocky Mountaineer train through the Canadian Rockies.

oh i mean the Niagara Falls, views must be great! Exclamation Very Happy

Hey,
As for Canada I suggest you to take a car and move towards to Prince Edward Island. The distinct red-soil cliffs and green pastures are the charm of this place which impresses the great effect on human nature. Although it’s not a very big place and so you can check the whole island out in a day easily.

Owing to the popularity of the 'favorite places in the UK' thread over at the UK & Ireland forum, I thought we should have something similar on each regional forum.

So... what are your favorite places in Canada, and why?

For scenary:
I love the Canadian Rockies in Alberta. The views are simply stunning. You can also take a trip to one of the glaciers where you can drink the fresh glacier water straight from the mountain top!

For history:
I love Quebec City. A small city, but with alot of European flare. Walk through the historic streets, and you will fall in love with its charm.

I don't think you can beat Vancouver Island.

The list of things to do in Victoria alone (Butchart Gardens, Chinatown, Wineries, Inner Harbour, kayaking/whalewatching) not to mention the all the nature trails for biking and hiking going through the countrysides and Provincial Parks... it is pretty gorgeous and supernatural.

I have never been to Montreal though. I am thinking about buying a plane ticket for the fall... time will tell. I'll be back in BC in July for a bit.
