1. Beaches - The Jumeira beaches, public beach at Al Mamzar Park
2. Gold - The Covered Gold Souk in Deira is Dubai's most famous gold market.
3. Hotels - Dubai is home to over 250 hotels, The Burj Al Arab is the world's tallest hotel
4. Golf - 2 outstanding golf courses, The Dubai Creek Golf & The Emirates golf club
5. Watersports - jet-skiing, sailing, windsurfing, paragliding and water skiing.
6. Carpets - Dubai is just across the Gulf from Iran, so the supply of Persian carpets is considered one of the best outside of Iran.
7. Deserts - overnight desert trip or driving through the sand dunes
8. Restaurants - The Creek at Vivaldi in the Sheraton.
9. Nightlife - Dubai entertainment includes cinemas, concerts, dhow cruises, discotheques as well as live entertainment

Thanks thats no problem. The waterpark is great especially if you go to Dubai during the hottest times when it can be up to 50 degrees!

It's better to go there during winter season if you're not used to extreme heat. Very Happy

according to me the top 10 attractions in dubai that are really worth seeing and spending your money are:

1 - burj khalifa, the tallest made building in the world
2 - burj al arab - the sail shaped hotel, that changes color in the night
3 - palm jumeirah islands, the three palm shaped islands made in the arabian sea
4 - atlantis hotel, hotel made on the island facing arabian sea and offering great luxury living facilities and great things to do
5 - shopping malls - esp mall of the emirates and dubai mall due to their themes
6 - wild wadi, water theme park known for its great rides
7 - global village - a place for arts and theaters
8 - desert safari - a view into the arab life with great dinner and dancing
9 - dreamland aqua park
10 - dhow cruise, a cruise on the dubai creek past all the beautiful attractions of the city

check them out at DubaiFunHolidays and enjoy a great vacation in dubai

The nightlife is what you make of it!

Not all of it happens to be focused around the British mindset of drink til you drop though. There's loads of cultural pursuits on offer, but if you do want to drink and party you'll find that Dubai isn't a place with loads if independent bars or clubs, but you probably know that much anyway. However, you'll find some great bars and late venues located within hotels. Buddha Bar is perhaps one of the best known and is located wihin Grosvenor House hotel close to Jumeirah beach. You'll need reservations if you want a table here, but its worth it as the atmosphere is vibrant and the drinks diverse. Its split into three sections over two levels.

There's a fantastic rooftop bar at the One&Only Royal Mirage complex as well, as this is a popular haunt of Premier League footballers as well as Hollywood celebs.

I was in Dubai last year on Job hunting, I got a chance to visit most of Dubai's attractions.

Here are my favorites

The Wild Wadi waterpark
Desert Safari
Jumeira beaches
Visit the Burj Khalifa
Then visit the Top shoping malls

Plenty of cheap places to eat,

Enjoy

I have never been to Dubai, but as far as I know it is quite expensive. May be we will go for some anniversary with my husband. It would be nice.

It definitely is expensive, its not a cheap destination by any stretch of the imagination.

My advice would be that if you are going for 3 nights or more that you should try and get yourself a half board deal at the very least, as you'll pay a lot for eating out in Dubai generally speaking, and drinks are not ever what you would call cheap either.

Of course there is the option to self cater as there is everywhere, Oasis Beach Tower is a good one for this if you don't want to sacrifice location (its right at the marina on the edge of Jumeirah Beach) but again - it's not cheap to stay here, but if you're doing Dubai on a budget then you will find places to eat nearby.

I find the best value deal is actually to pay for that half board deal in a decent hotel, as you'll actually save money this way. Breakfasts tend to be very extensive, so go late and eat a lot, and skip lunch every day for a piece of fruit or something to tide you over until tea.

That's generally what I do, and believe me it's not sacrificing anything - it's just re-structuring your meals.

Hey some great tips in here.

Is it true that you need a special pass or something to drink alcohol in Dubai?
