Slovenia walking holiday

We are planning on taking a week off in early October (just the wife & I) and doing a few days walking in the Slovenian countryside.
It will be our first visit to Slovenia and are looking forward to it.

Anything we should do or see or anything to avoid? Thanks.

Did you do this walking trip to Slovenia and if so what places did you walk. We would like a trip to this area and we are walkers so any info could be usefull.We are campers so any campsite also please.

Sorry Joe, it all fell through in the end. we were planning on doing a self guided walk with http://www.onfootholidays.co.uk (we are their local contact for walkers doing their Catalonia route) but something came up and we couldn't do it.
The Slovenia countryside looks lovely though and it is still on our wish list.
