Queen Elizabeth has had a spectacularly successful visit to Ireland and has visited many famous landmarks including Dublin Castle, The National Stud, The Rock of Cashel and The English Market in Cork. Will the widespread TV coverage lead to an influx of tourists, especially from the UK?
Polls suggest that only a small percentage of English people know much about Ireland. From Ireland's point of view it is hoped that the profile of Ireland as a tourist destination has been significantly raised. |

That surprises me. Out of interest do you have a link to the polls?
I'm Scottish and have Irish family so have been visiting the country (mainly Donegal and Dublin) since I was born and I always see English tourists when I'm there.
Anyway, glad to see the Queen visiting and generally receiving a good welcome. |

| Yes I agree with both of you in two sentences. first Lake you are right that earlier some time in Ireland almost every tourist was from UK and this have a logical reason as Ireland and Britain are not much separated, there is only Ireland sea which separates both so the people who want to spent their time in Some other country would prefer always Ireland as it is nearer But as I said it was the time earlier now its not the case in Ireland as the tourism industry is getting boom there and now they are having tourists from worldwide. oishafermar was saying true in this sense. |

Definitely, Ireland is one of the prominent destinations in the world and third biggest island in Europe. You’ll find plenty of outstanding places which are famous in all over the world like Bunratty Castle, Rock of Cashel, Cliffs of Moher, Holy Cross Abbey and Blarney Castle. _________________ Dubai Shopping Festival 2012 | Dubai holiday packages |

| Totally agree. The queen seemed to enjoy her trip to Ireland and the TV coverage really showed the breadth of things to do all across the country, all the wonderful places there are to visit and the great spirit of the Irish people |
