Hedge Mazes

I just finished reading Larry's Party by Carol Shields (which you should all go out and buy) and the main character becomes obsessed with hedge mazes after visiting the UK and walking through a famous one at Hampton Court.

Has anyone been to this hedge maze, or any others in the UK?

Yes I have been they are great fun also check out the one at Leeds Castle

Its quite expensive though, about £8 for an adult - which we thought was a little bit pricey given all you are doing is walking round a selection of carefully trimmed trees!

Not exactly a hedge maze, but every year near York these guys create a 'Maize Maze'. http://www.yorkmaze.com/

I've been to the Hampton Court one, but many, many years ago. the most recent I went to was at Alnwick Castle. Much smaller, but fun for little ones.

Near us we have the Lakeland Maize Maze which I've been to a couple of times.

I remember a fantastic hedge maze in Scarborough, up on the South cliff. I loved it as a child, but as with many memories from yesteryear it was torn down and replaced with housing or the like.
