Not sure what type of art lover you are, anyway apart from all the above mentioned galleries I thought I could share few more galleries that I know
The Photographers Gallery
First independent gallery in England that features entirely photography.
Serpentine Gallery
Is deemed to be the most adored gallery in London! It mainly is due to its exquisite and breath taking art
Wallace Collection
This is a national museum that holds exclusive art from the 18th and 19th centuries, especially French, medieval and Renaissance
Orlean House Gallery
It is an 18th century mansion surrounding a woodlands garden |

I guess the Churchill War Rooms can be considered a museum and this is one of my favourite attractions to see in London.
The Victoria and Albert museum, the transport museum and the British Museum are all excellent. |

i like the cabinet war rooms too (i think they call it the churchill war rooms now, though). but i couldnt believe how close it was to ground level. it was ten steps down, and that's it. it's almost at basement level -- hardly bomb proof!
but it is definitely one of the most interesting museums in london.
but how about the houses of parliament? lots of people forget that you can go inside and have a look around if you don't mind the queue.
my other favourite is the museum of london, although they seem to have a bit of refurbishment going on a the moment, because some of the galleries are closed.
there are some nice roman remains and bits of roman wall outside around the grounds as well |

I would say for a variety of things visit:
- madame tussauds - i think this place is just good fun and an interesting to have a little wander around
- London Dungeons - This is a great place to go and learn about how England really used to be years ago and is very interactive! You even get a little ride at the end etc! Definitely a fun day out!
- The tate modern - this is one of my favourite gallaries in London and shows some great modern pieces
- The natural history museum - I have just always loved this place |

If you travel to South Kensington underground station you will find 3 museums within walking distance. These are :-
The Science Museum.
The Natural History Museum.
The Victoria and Albert Museum.
Not too many decent pubs though. |

Hi There,
If your into art then definitely try making it to the Saatchi Gallery. The museum is amazing and really modern with some really great exhibitions going on at all times.
its just off King's Road and you can walk it from Sloane Square Tube Station.
Check out the website for more information - saatchi-gallery.co.uk
Hope this helps .
Best Wishes,
Tanielle

I used to live in London and write a blog about galleries and museums
I would highly recommend a day doing all of the museums at South Kensington and if you are particularly into modern art then the Tate Modern, Tate Britain focuses only on British art but has classic and contemporary art so that might be of interest if you'd like to see British art in particular. If you're into culture the British Museum is fantastic.
John Soames house is a hidden gem and definitely worth a visit.
Have a good trip |
