This kind of ranking is a little weird when it includes big cities with multi cultural food... _________________ China Travel : custom tour to China, free online quotation... |

| Why is that weird? Having access to multicultural food is a good thing. If I only have the choice of one cuisine, well, that's BORING. If you can get French, Thai, Russian, Italian, Afghan, Turkish, Korean, Lebanese, Ethiopian, Chinese, Mexican, Moroccan, Argentine, Indian, and more all in one city, that's going to be more enjoyable than one type of cuisine. |

I would have expected London to be there because London has such a huge variety of restaurants and with some of the worlds top chefs. NYC I am not surprised to see in the top ten as the situation is similar to London. The restaurants in NYC are amazing.
Rome is certainly excellent for food as was Tokyo and Seoul, when I visited these countries. I also enjoyed the food a lot in Sicily, Italy. _________________ The Garlic Expert http://www.garlicexpert.org and Paul Symonds travel http://www.paulsymonds.com |

This will be a very subjective observation, but how come Buenos Aires is not included in the list either? The best steake, best icecream, dulce de leche... And there´s also great cuisine. The restaurant of Faena Hotel has been awarded as the second best hotel restaurant in the world by Virtusos Hotels.
And of course Paris should be included in the list. _________________ My Buenos Aires Travel Guide |

Strange looking list. I've had a chat with my chef colleagues and here is what we have come up with...
1. San Sebastien
2. Lyon
3. Paris
4. Tokyo
5. London
6. New York
7. Rome
8. Sydney/Melbourne
9. Sydney/Melbourne
10. Nice/Monaco or Brussels - Another tied vote
1 to 3 are all potentially number one depending on who is doing what, 8 & 9 was a tied vote, Number 10 was interesting. Two schools of thought with Nice/Monaco really pushing boundaries and with arguably the best restaurant in the world (Le Louis XV) and Brussels doing some interesting stuff... (I didn't really agree with that) |

You could also get all of those in London too. Seriously, I'm surprised London wasn't on that list, but I guess a list like this can only ever be subjective *shrug* _________________ car hire Italy - car hire France - car hire Spain |

I Don't know the top ten city but Rome, New York and Bangkok were all excellent for me. Also, pretty much any other city in Italy or Thailand... _________________ Bed and Breakfast Florence |
