Malawi is a place for those naturalist enthusiasts. It prides and boasts a rich variety and large number of mammals than most of the African Countries.
The game reserves are now restricted. However, they have the most famous and excellent game viewing than most countries in Africa.
The best time to visit for game viewing expedition is in the driest season which starts from August to November.
Enjoy! _________________ Phuket Hotels

Malawi is also famous for its beautiful scenes as other countries of Africa. The think which makes it different from other beautiful places of Africa is Lake with its white sand beaches and islands. _________________ Flights to Cape Town |

Malawi is really pretty great. I particularly like to camp at Mvuu .
If you havent been to Lake of Stars music festival , its another thing I would highly recommend. Its a great place to meet other travellers and young malawians. Its mostle malawian acts, hip hop and reggae. But there are also musicians from south africa, zimbabawe and the uk.
I also found a really good website for travel in malawi - malawitourism.com
I hope that you have an amazing time! |

Malawi is a naturalists paradise, and boasts as rich a variety of large mammals as most African Countries; including the so called big five - buffalo, elephant, lion, leopard and rhinoceros. There are over 170 species of mammals and some 649 recorded species of bird.
As with everywhere, human population pressures have meant that most the big game species are now restricted to game reserves and national parks. Although these reserves are not as famous as some found in other East African countries, they offer comparable and excellent game viewing.
To get the most out of a game viewing expedition you will need to take into account the climate. The best times of the year for game viewing is during the dry season August to November. Some parks will be closed or impassable without a four wheel drive vehicle during the raining season, particularly Jan - March. To find out the latest situation at any of the parks enquire at the Wildlife Society Shop located in Blantyre or Limbe _________________ Sig removed because I turned out to be a spammer... silly me. |

Malawi has so many national parks and there are loads of lovely places to stay.
Nkhotakota Wildlife Reserve has two new lodges Bua River Lodge and Tongola Lodge which means you can stay over night. Nkhotakata is my favourite because its very ruggid and has rivers and bits of rainforest. Its great for a walking safari to see the birds.

I have heard so many good things about Malawi... in particular I have heard mention of a train that runs from Dar Es Salaam to Malawi.
Has anyone heard of this journey or even done the trip? Do they have any advice for me? _________________ Kieran
