I’m of to Thailand and have been recommended to pack some needles and an intravenous kit as I should not rely in clean needles should I need hospital treatment. Is this overkill or do I really need this stuff? _________________ wisit http://www.inholidayseurope.com for hotels and coach operators |

It sounds like a very sensible precaution, if you're worried about the possibility of having to be injected & are concerned that the local medics won't have clean needles.
If I were you I'd do some checking to find out what the attitude of customs, in the coutries you're visiting, is to this kind of thing though; The last thing you'd want is to be stopped and *thoroughly* searched by customs becuse they think you're some kind of drug user! Could make for a *very* unpleasant start/end to your trip! _________________ car hire Italy - car hire France - car hire Spain |

A first aid kit is a collection of supplies and equipment for use in giving first aid. First aid kits may be made up of different contents depending on who has assembled the kit and for what purpose. It may also vary by region due to varying advice or legislation between governments or organisations. _________________ sumvision cyclone |

I'd say forget about it.
If you need an injection you'll be able to buy a syringe when you buy the medicine. If you're in an accident do you think that the paramedics are gonna be searching thru the wreckage looking for your rucksack ?
The first time I went travelling I read the same recomendations and took all that stuff with me too - soon got fed up of carrying it around. Its just unnecesary clutter . Sticky plasters, insect repellent and asparin is enough. Buy whatever else you need when you need it. _________________ Medieval Spanish History, Legends and Travel Information |

Well, you do need to pack the basic first aid kit, such as alcohol, wound dressings and cotton balls. In case you have a special medical condition or if you know that the place you are going is plagued by a particular disease, then bringing the specified medication would
indeed be a good idea. _________________ Australian Visa Assistance - PrincipalVisas.Com |
