Britain: It might surprise some people to know there is a pub in Northumberland that serves squirrel - grey, of course! The native red squirrel is a protected species, but under great threat from the imported grey. _________________ Hidden Italy: An alternative guide

I've tried cow intestines before, never again....
Cow tongue... no thank you either
Goat meat was nice, but not really for me. And yeah, it was quite hard, come to think of it..
All this was in West Africa. It was good fun trying it out though! _________________ Great deals on Hiring Motorhomes in New Zealand |

| Things that are delicacies in other countries sound revolting in other places.Other tendencies which may be identified include the emphasis upon appearance ... be adapted to the food habits of the inhabitants of the various countries. I just started trying about a year ago different cultures recipes . ... Everyone is entitled to like or dislike food . |

Although a long time ago on my way back from Australia, I went to CapeTown in South Africa and to a zulu reserve where I had snake soup ... delicious. I also, without knowing it, had horse at a restaurant in Ibiza - again it was great but had I known that it was horse I probably wouldn't have even tried it. _________________ Mallorca Holidays

| GregW wrote: | The strangest thing was probably Durian Fruit in Tanzania. It smells bad. Kind of like rotting flesh or maybe a really bad toilet. The inside is a gooey white substance. I only had a couple fingers of the goo. It was pretty tasty actually. To me, it was more texture than taste. The interesting thing is that the next day I went to the bathroom (#1) and could smell the durian fruit again. It took about a full day to clear out of my system.

I'm not choosy when it comes to food but i cannot resist the smell of Durian. I tried eating it covering my nose but it went back from my stomach but i love the Durian candy. _________________ Immigration - Employment Green card - Immigration INS |
