WORRIED ABOUT CONNECTION FLIGHT

Hi Forum members

I am hoping someone can help ? I would really appreciate it

I am taking a connection flight from london gatwick to tirana, stopping in Ljubljana & same airline throughout the whole journey. Never been on a connection flight before -

Can you tell me whether my luggage will be transported to the next plane by airport staff or will I need to cliam it and re-book it in ?

Also, I only have 30 minutes to make the connection so considering it normally takes about 10 minutes to get off a plane and back into the airport this seems so tight. Especially if i have to go through securiry or passport control.

What if the first plane is delayed causing me to miss my connection - is the airline responsible for getting me on the next flight ? If so would this be without further cost

Hi

From previous experience if your travelling with the same airline throughout, then your luggage will be transferred for you. But I would ring your airline first to check

I generally do not book flights that have only a 30 minute layover.
And I would never book one when traveling to another country.

Are you on Adria? I'm guessing so since you're changing at Ljubljana. You shouldn't have to worry about your checked bags, as when you check them in at Gatwick, they should be through checked all the way to Tirana.

I'm also guessing that Ljubljana's airport isn't as large as Gatwick, or even Vienna, so you're unlikely to find your self having to go very far to make your connection.

In the event that your flight is delayed out of Gatwick, Adria will make sure that you're still able to reach your final destination.
