Hello everyone Smile

I've got tickets for a concert in Sligo on 30th July and I need to get there from Eastbourne, England.

I was investigating ferries but the cheapest is £248 which I find utterly scandalous! That was from Fishguard to Rosslare. I wanted to go by car and was happy to drive to Fishguard!

I'm not too keen on flying and with the current ash situation I wasn't sure!

I can travel outwards on 28th, 29th and wanted to come back on 31st.

I also need a hotel or B&B but am struggling to find the town mentionned on travel sites.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. There would be two adults on the trip (myself and a friend).

If you're up for a longer drive in the UK, you might look at heading up to Stranraer and heading across to Northern Ireland. I seem to recall the ferry journey is only a couple of hours, and not too expensive at all. And once you're in Northern Ireland, Sligo is only a couple of hours drive.

Hi Tammie, do you mind me asking who you're going to see in concert? I love a good show! If I was you, I'd have to fly because that's a long old drive, plus it'll probably be a lot cheaper i.e. cost of flights vs cost of petrol. If you don't like flying, it won't be too bad as the flight's really short. I work with London Luton Airport and you can check out more info on flights here.

In terms of accommodation, what's the name of the town that you mentioned?

Claire
