Hi!
I used to climb a lot, mostly in Slovenia and Croatia (Europe). Rock formations in Canyon Paklenica near Zadar in Croatia are particularly good for beginners. It is a great place for free climbing. Slovenian Alps (Julian Alps) are so beautiful for climbing. Triglav in Julian Alps is the highest point in Slovenia (2864m or 9396ft) and one of the popular climbing destinations for rock climbers from all over the world. The best season to climb in Slovenia is from the beginning of July till the middle of October, but the best months are August and September.
The Julian Alps are also the great place for ice climbing and skiing. _________________ Dominika Z R

Hi Alex,
If you like buildering and fancy doing a bit of not-so-serious climbing you might like to check out font in france. I've been out there to do a spot of bouldering on a couple of occassions - and it was dope.
You get to cruise about a massive forest trying to locate patches of boulders that are scattered throughout it. If you ever get over there you should check out Bas Cuvier; it's one of the more popular areas but there is a reason for that. Lots of easily accessible boulders with some classic problems.
There are plenty of gites in the nearby towns and villages so finding accommodation is easy ...you'd need to hire a car though. _________________ Nick

Sahyadri mountains in central India are heaven for people looking for serious rock climbing. Not only pillars but technical faces to climb.
Have litle googling or ask for images and details. _________________ www.himadventures.net - Outdoor And Adventure Travel in Himalayas and Sahyadri-with experienced mountain guides and mountaineers.Providing services for trekking in himalayas, climbing himalayas, himalayan jeepsafari and package tours of india |

Hello,
I was into rock climbing for a short time, but have since given it up. I think its an awesome
sport though. its pretty fun and somewhat nerve wracking. _________________ Adventure travel tours |

I love climbing on the trees rather than rocks..... Rock climbing is a wonderful adventure that most of the people cannot do. Its completely risk involved _________________ Sig removed |
