The Philippines doesn't have a very good reputation for tourists. Which is a shame because the country has really something to offer.
Take for instance, Boracay and Bohol -- a lot of European tourists have heard of Pattaya or Bali but not of the best white-sand beaches of the world. Most of my European friends would often go backpacking to Asia but miss the Philippines fearing that it is a dangerous territory.
But Boracay is definitely one of the must-see places of your life. _________________ The Best White-sand Beach in the World | Our Journey to Discovering the World | Blogging about my son |

I went to the Philippines for 6 weeks last year whilst backpacking Asia and found it the most friendly country I have been to. Such an amazing place.
I would have to say that Palawan is top with Donsol for swimming with whale sharks a close second. _________________ Backpacker travel insurance Comparison | Travel Insurance Direct Promotion Code |

agree, boracay is one of the most beautiful beaches in south east asia. talk about utter relaxation. the food and fun-loving nightlife make it a worthwhile place to visit.
i hear mixed feelings about how dangerous the philippines can be. yes i've visited, but i blend in well =). i think any foreign country could be dangerous really. just be mindful of your surroundings and accepting of cultures and lifestyles. _________________ cheap airline tickets |

It is a misconception that the Philippines is a dangerous destination. This have been due to bad publicity brought about by irresponsible media coverage.
The fact is that the dangerous place to travel in the Philippines for tourist is in the little province of Sulu where rebels hide. But, please bear in mind that Sulu is in the southernmost part of Mindanao. Sulu is just a tiny province within a very big major island subdivision of the Philippines. The Philippines has three major island groups, Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.. Sulu is more than 1,000 kilometers from the country's capital Manila.
The tourist abductions in Sulu are just oversensationalized by some irresponsible media reporting placing the whole Philippine in a bad light.
However, get to know the Philippines.. If possible the whole Philippines in order to appreciate its beauty, the hospitality and warmth of the Filipino people.. _________________ philippine travel destinations - filipino food recipes - philippines travel guide |

Philippines is a beautiful country. It's got the most fantastic yam cake! The beaches are nice and just stay away from where the terrorist are and you'll be alright. Shopping is cheap too, although it gets too crowded in Manila for me. _________________ http://www.bearruncabins.com |

The Majestic Mount Kanlaon
A nice and relaxing way to spend a vacation is to travel. It depends on a person's trip on what he or she will do on his free time. But for me, I love to travel, it gives you that unexplained feeling of freedom and also an opportunity to experience an alternate or different culture. There are lots of places wherein you could spend your vacation which is very worth. In the Philippines Beaches and resorts are always present in places where you could spend your vacation. Boracay for for powdery white sand, clear saline warm water. Palawan for tranquility, Vigan for spanish culture, Baguio and Tagaytay for cool climate and strawberries
Enjoy!

there are a lot of nice places to visit in the Philippines. Boracay is a must if you are a beach person. Siargao and La Union would be nice if you are into surfing. Go to palawan and explore the Puerto Princessa Subterranean River. Bohol is known for it's chocolate hills and home of the tarsiers. Have a taste of Durian in Davao, the freshest tuna in General Santos and the luscious curacha (crabs) in Zamboanga. Be entertained by the different fiestas in the country whole year round. |

There are a lot of places to visit in the Philippines even in rainy seasons. If you like the country side or you're a nature lover, do visit Palawan or Bohol
Thanks !!! |

yes it's just sad that this beautiful country if perceived dangerous by most tourists..Philippines is an archipelago with more than 7000 islands, so if there was danger in the southern part it doesn't mean that the whole country is dangerous.
aside from boracay, that is mostly mentioned above, the country has a lot of more beautiful and unspoiled beaches. _________________ outer banks vacation rentals |
