| India is a rich country and I would be soon visiting the place with my friends. I have sorted out the places that would be on my top list. But, as we do not have all the time in the world so we have to shortlist some really good places to make our trip. The agenda for the visit would be some real good places that have a mark of history and cultural heritage. We do have our interests in such fields and would like to have some suggestions on that. |

| Well, all said, you must made a very good study about the country, since I find that you are confused on the options you have. There are a lot and I mean really a lot of places that could make a wonderful choice for your trip. India has many fascinating cities like Agra, Jaipur, New Delhi, Bhopal and much more. Recently, my cousin was on a visit to Bhopal and was pleased with his Bhopal travel experience. I would advise you to include the city in your trip agenda. |

| Well, first of all I would like to say that India is a wonderful country and I'm sure you'll enjoy it. Indian life style is different than western lifestyle, there is a lot of poverty and it is not the cleanest place on earth...still there are many beautiful places to see, fascinating and challenging. Do try to take care with food, water and hygiene and don't think not even for a moment on going to India without making the necessary vaccinations. As for places worth visiting: My favorite places in India are: Dharamsala (Dalai Lama's place/situated in the north of India), Ladakh(a fascinating place - very high, desert-like, wonderful view all the way up, amazing culture, lovely people /situated in the north of India), Manali (the Indian Switzerland- green and mountainous region with wooden huts, cows and mix population- slant eyed and Indians /situated in the north of India), Parvati valley (a blossoming valley full of weed...as well as few hot springs/situated in the north of India), Jaisalmer (an enchanting little town in the middle of the Rajasthani desert/west of India), Hariduar (a very holy Hindi town, the place to watch lots of traditional ceremonies/center of India),Madurai (a very holly Hindi town, yet completely different from Haridwar. It has a very beautiful Hindu temple you shouldn't miss and a Gandhi museum/south of India), Bhodgaya (full of Budhist monasteries, therefore one of the best places to make fascinating Buddhist retreats/east of India), Cochin (a lovely town- the site of the first European colonial settlement in India and the capital of Portuguese India until 1530), Goa (Tropical jungles and beautiful beaches- a Portuguese overseas territory for about 450 years, until 1961/south west of India), Gokharna (a lovely holy little Hindu town situated on the south west shore of India), Om beach (a tiny beautiful tropical beach located near by Gokharna), Amritapuri(a small village located on the south east shore of India, home of Amma's ashram- the hugging mother guru), Pondicherry (a French Colony situated on the south west shore of India and home to the famous Sri Aurobindo's ashram), Mumbai (the biggest city of India, its commercial and entertainment centre as well as well as home of the Indian film industry- Bollywood/located on the south east shore of India and has a fascinating mix of ancient and modern) and of course Amritsar (the famous golden temple/located in north west India). For some more information about Mumbai and Amritsar, including recommendations for best restaurants, shops, markets and attractions, I warmly advise you to go inside the travel guide of a web site called DELETED. I found it very helpful so many times |

evala, please go back and read the warning on advertising . In it you will find a link for users with travel-related web sites
Namely, please disclose your association with this clickeasy site. From the above guidance.
DO - if mentioning a website of your own in answering a post - disclose any association you have with it. For example, if someone was asking about five star hotels in NYC... "I run XYZ website which has some useful information on luxury accommodation in New York" rather than "Go to XYZ website. It's all about luxury hotels in New York and it's the best out there!!!!!!" _________________ My flight map. A million miles and counting....Where I’ve been around the globe. |

Although evala has described very well but I would classify following..
1. Season you are visiting : It depends a lot when you are landing in India. Summer, Winter or rainy season. You have to make your plan accordingly.
2. Vocation duration: Most important factor besides budget and season- there is no fun in just traveling and running on trains and plains. YOU CAN NEVER SEE MUCH OF/ ALL OF INDIA in one visit.
3. Budget :- Which way you want to handle your vocation. You have to have very detailed information and knowledge if you want to travel in backpack style. _________________ www.himadventures.net - Outdoor And Adventure Travel in Himalayas and Sahyadri-with experienced mountain guides and mountaineers.Providing services for trekking in himalayas, climbing himalayas, himalayan jeepsafari and package tours of india |

Hi,
I just put this below message for some other people in this forum and now I am going to paste it for you also the same message as follows;-
Hi,
For India you can go for mainly Northern part of India as -
Rajasthan for - 2 weeks
Agra, Orchha, Khajuraho & Varanasi - 1 week
Delhi, Haridwar, Rishikesh - 1 week
Would be a good idea to follow this above part.
Mainly 60% of people make this itinerary.
I hope you will enjoy your travel.
Wish you all the best.

| You can hire a good tour operator who can guide you apptly about visiting various places in India. The most popular 'The Golden Triangle' is much preferred for touring in north india, which include Delhi, Agra and Jaipur. In Agra its Taj Mahal - a must visit. In Delhi, besides the usual places like Lal quila, Qutab Minar etc. you can visit the upcoming entertainment hub 'Kingdom of Dreams'- an unltimate Indian Experience getting launched this June and in Jaipur you can visit the Hawa Mahal, Amer Fort, Chokhi Dhani etc. |

Geographically, India is one of the biggest countries in the world. There are many traveler destinations which are thronged by tourists from around the world.
In my opinion, Rajasthan, Agra, Jaipur, Goa and Bhopal are the best historical and the most attractive destination in India. Furthermore, Manali, Ooty and Kerala are also good for romantic vacations. _________________ All happiness depends on a leisurely Romantic bed and Breakfasts |
