If you're talking about an actual city that has lots of greenery, I'd recommend Seattle or Portland. The Pacific Northwest is very green because of all the rain. There are lots of beautiful parks over there. You can also take side trips from Seattle to Vancouver Island, the Olympic Rainforest, and other beautiful areas. _________________ miami hotel deals |

I lived southeast of seattle for 5 years. Just east of the metro area is the greenest and lushest area I've ever seen. i would go there in the summer . _________________ travelguy12345

If you are talking about greenest city in USA so it’s too difficult to choose because there are lots of cities situated in USA. Well I agree with “Justbeachy” my Uncle visited in Virginia and he told me that it is one of the top place where full greenery in Shenandoah Valley. So I also recommend you to visit there I hope you will enjoy your vacation. _________________ All happiness depends on a leisurely Romantic bed and Breakfasts |

I lived in Virginia for several years, but I find it very, very boring. I definitely prefer the west coast. Like other posters, I agree that Portland and Seattle are good picks. Northern Cali is also very green and nice. In Georgia (east coast), I went to a really cool hostel in the woods called Hostel in the Forest. It's an eco-hostel with compost toilets, outdoor showers, a yoga studio, and a bunch of cool stuff. I highly recommend it. And it's very green. _________________ miami hotel deals |

If you are looking for greenery, less pollution and population, TYLER in Texas will
be a perfect place. 80,000 people, no major factories, beautiful and hilly forest landscape withclear skies. It is one of the most modern small cities in the U.S. It's a place with good roads, restaurants, malls and institutions. |

I have never heard of Tyler, Texas. Just googled it. Looks really pretty. But what's there to do there? It looks pretty quiet. Is it anywhere near Houston? _________________ miami hotel deals |

The Greenest city in the US? There are a dozen or more that would fit the
description.: Portland for sure, Boston, Pittsburgh. I could go on and on, but
of course the time of year would add some and subtract others |

If by green we're talking environmentallly-friendly then Davis, CA is a good start. It's hailed as "Bike City USA." Then in San Francisco they started putting out three waste recptacles: trash, recyclables, AND compost! Now food waste doesn't go to waste.
But if you mean green as in foliage then Sacramento has been dubbed "Tree City USA" but I also have a vote in for Libby, MT (pop. just under 3000) Sandpoint, ID or Eugene, OR. Libby and Sandpoint are wall to wall evergreens. Beautiful landscape, rich greens and deep blues. I could go on. |

How can New York be called green?
But i also give my vote to Portland. Really, really green, comfortable climate and not so crowded, at least it gave me such impression when i went Portland for business last year. _________________ Best Las Vegas Travel Deals |
