hi there,
does anyone know how to get to heathrow airport from W1 but not by train? I am unable to take my elderly parents to the airport from their hotel so would like to book something for them, like maybe a taxi or mini cab but need some ideas and maybe a good recommendation. thanks |

after reading the title i was going to say the underground would probably be the best bet. but having read the the post i would say that booking a taxi would be about the most convenient method _________________ Alcudia Holidays |

Price at taxireservations.co.uk for a transfer from Heathrow to Central London WC1 is £64, now lads this is a rip-off. This is the price you will pay taking a black cab from a taxi rank outside a terminal without any prebooking hassle. The whole idea behind pre-booked journeys is to make it cheaper than taking a regular taxi service from a taxi rank. I know at least 20 opertors who have prices for this particular route £20 cheaper and some will send you a Mercedes E-Class with a collard shirt-suit-shoes-parfumed chauffeur. _________________ --

Definately pre-book a private hire service and shop around as prices will vary massively, depending on workload I guess. I always ask what car will be supplied also, as often you can get a nice Merc for the same price as a Mondeo! _________________ www.rhinocarhire.com |

Take a taxi , But take a reliable one, Once a taxi driver demanded more than the meter reading. So just make sure you pay only for the meter reading _________________ Cheap London Hotels

If you are unable to take your parents on a particular day cant you book an airport hotel and take them a day earlier? _________________ If your flying from any of the major UK airports you can pre book your Gatwick airport parking or airport car parking at Flypark |
