|
|
Hi,
I searched for a B&B for a couple of nights in January about a month ago and found that most double rooms were being shown at around £90 per night. There seemed to be a uniform pricing structure regardless of the desired time of year. I've checked the same site today and a lot of them are now considerably cheaper.
Is there a recommended time in advance to find deals or reduced prices? I'm also wondering whether or not it's risky to look for a late deal a day or two in advance?
Many thanks for any help. |

Rather easy : they ofcourse try to have the rooms rented at a fixed price (90 GPB in your case) but as the date comes closer and the rooms don`t get rented, the price drops....
As to when booking : that`s up to you. If you really want to stay in a particular place you might want to take the room at the fixed price, than at least you`re sure to be staying there; if you go to a city and don`t really mind where you stay it pays to book your room one or two days in advance.
I usually take the last option for city-trips but book ahead for the longer trips to places I don`t really know (that way I know where I`m heading too in the evening and don`t have to start searching some accomodation) |

This is really helpful, thanks. York is where we're intending to stay, so I suppose there will be plenty of options when the time comes around - late January isn't exactly high season.
Thanks again. |

I would recommend just ringing a few hotels and asking - tell them you are working to a budget of say... £50 per room per night and see what they will offer - some will refuse, some will negotiate - But i do agree that its best to try last minute as its the best time to get the deal - I have got 90% off a room rate before by going in on the day - advertised rate was £444 - i got it for £45 _________________ Chocolate Pillow Haiti Appeal - Book a room and donate to the Haiti Appeal! |

I am new to the site so if I am infringing any rules please tell me!
I have a website that offers free hotel rooms all over the UK in return for just purchasing breakfast and dinner.
The site is [removed] and may definitely be worth a look |

| I have recently visited turkey and the accommodation services are really nice. The location of villas are really refreshing and close to nature because of diversity in climate and environment too. The majestic mountains of turkey are re ally great and adventurous for hikers and skiers. |

if you are after a cheap place to stay for a couple of nights then leave it as late as you dare. however it may end up with you not staying at a place that you might have chosen as your first choice.
if you are particular about where you are going to stay or if you have particular requirements (ie disabled access etc) then you will probably have to stump up the premium charge and book now. _________________ Canary Holidays |
