True The South is the real thing but I must see I love Barcelona ass well Smile. If you want to travel to a big city in the world with allot of things to offer then Barcelona would be a good choise or Berlin. If you rather like the roustique old villages the south of Spain would be better Smile. For the Big cities I recently found a website were they offer apartments against cheap prices. http://tlink.as/DFforoen01

Anyone knows more websites like this or the opposite, for the little villages or something? Let me know Smile

You must visit Ljubljana, the beautiful capital of Slovenia! It has a beautiful old town and a castle that towers over the city. Check it out sometime!

The city of Palma in Mallorca (Balearic Islands) is beautiful. It has a stunning Old Town and a huge 13th century cathedral...its a must!

Istanbul in Turkey, its mosques are the most beautiful and incredibly detailed temples I've seen in Europe, maybe apart from the Vatican city. Even so, these mosques were more special as it seems that many people in Western Europe (including me) tend to go to Rome first (and back to it again many times), making the mosques something different. The Blue Mosque (Sultanahmet) and the Magnificant Mosque (Suleymaniye) are the main two to go to and a great Ottoman Palace is the Topkapi. The bazaars and architecture are much more exotic to people such as myself who come from England than say Italy is, or other countries around that area, and holidays there are fairly cheap as well (have a link to some holidays, http://www.lowcostholidays.com/turkey-holidays.htm)l. Does anyone else who has been there agree?

Mahon, the capital of Menorca is a fantastic place to visit. The Museu de Menorca is a definate must and houses lots of artefacts, pottery, coins and funerary objects from several different cultures. What's more Mahon is accessible from most UK airport's using the many low cost airlines....cheap flights, superb accommodation and great weather!

If you are debating this question you should think about taking a trip to Split in Croatia and if you do, make absolutely sure you visit Diocletian’s Palace. The unique twist to this city is that it grew within the walls of Diocletian's Palace itself, into a bustling space where crowds mill happily around the many bars, restaurants and shops. For the more adventurous, travelling the city on the Underground adds to the authenticity of your time there.

I have to agree that Istanbul is the most beutiful city, if you like history and you know the history of the city and what it means to modern life and architecture you really need to visit it. Charlie gives a good overview of Istanbul, the only thing I would like to add is that you really need to pay a visit to an authentic Hamam, it really adds something to the whole experience.

I agree about palma de mallorca. There's a new bit which isn't anything special but the old town is beautiful.

i loved exploring all the little winding roads and the cathedral is amazing!

My pick is the city of London, Ive had so much fun exploring the city and the view and places are one of a kind. I just lived there for more than a year and I'm coming back there by next month.
