These destinations come to mind: China (Hong Kong, Macau), Indonesia (Bali, Jakarta), Japan (Tokyo, Kyoto), Korea (Seoul), Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur), Singapore, and Vietnam (Saigon, Nha Trang).

One destination I recommend is Saigon, Vietnam. Saigon is a lively city. Vietnam offers a variety of simple, delicious food, and is a perfect destination for relaxation in East Asia.

Again I would like to suggest you to visit Indonesia, Bali island. It has everything you are expecting in a holiday. Bali is such one stop destination :p If you are looking for beaches, exotic foods, traditional cultures, friendly people, shopping stuff, busy area to calm peaceful area.. Bali has it all

Yes, I agree with Blue Smile that Bali is one of the top tourist attractions in Asia where number of tourist visit in a huge numbers,
Places like Istiqlal Mosque, Prambanan Temple, Sulawesi and Lake Toba are best for visiting.
