Disney Vs Universal Vs knotsberry farm..
we're not too heavy theme park seekers so we thought perhaps just one would be ok...
which should we go for? |

Universal is both a theme park & a working movie studio, so if you want a behind the scenes look at movie magic- this is the one for you. Has some really great rides - Revenge of the Mummy & Jurassic Park are two of the best and really good stage shows -Terminator is very good.
Knott's Berry Farm is the oldest park of the three. iI's based on an "old west" theme. Some great roller coaster and water rides and you won't want to miss Mrs Knott's chicken dinner.
Disneyland the magic kingdom. Mickey and the gang are there and some great shows. You won't want to miss the Pirates of the Caribbean boat ride
A hard choice, I know
Most of my out-of-town vistors, go to Universal, they really love the movies. _________________ A sense of humor is the pole that adds balance to your steps as you walk the tightrope of life--W.A. Ward |

Yeah Disneyland is the original Disney park, opened I believe around 1956.
Of the three parks Knott's Berry Farm is probably the cheapest.
January is off--season so the crowds are less, but there are always crowds at Disneyland.
A great way to beat the long lines and believe me, Disneyland can have some long (90 minute) lines, there FASTPASS, it's FREE. Next to the most popular attractions you see the FASTPASS machines. You put your Disneyland entrance ticket into the machine and you're get a FASTPASS ticket. The ticket will give you a time to return (usually a one hour window) then when you come back you go to the "FASTPASS return" sign and usually go right in.
Things to keep in mind-
Once you've get a FASTPASS ticket, you can't get another FASTPASS ticket unitl your return time has arrived or 2 hours has passed. So usually people get someting to eat. _________________ A sense of humor is the pole that adds balance to your steps as you walk the tightrope of life--W.A. Ward |

Knottsberry farm is underrated. If you have children you'll have a lot of fun there, plus it has some of the best jam you'll find. Go on a weekday and it won't be as packed as Disneyland, and you'll be able to spend the entire day there; Universal studios is really only fun for a few hours. There are also a few different shows that run through knottsberry farm which revolve around the old west. I hope you enjoy your choice. _________________ tour from los angeles to san francisco |

I've only been to Disneyland, and I have to say that was a great time. My husband and I went for our honeymoon. We stayed at a hotel within walking distance of the park to save on shuttle fair and went during the week. Of course, even though it was during the week, it was still surprisingly busy. But with the fast passes, you just go do something else, come back, and you can get into your favorite rides without too long a wait.
If there is something in particular you are looking forward to doing, you may want to check with the park ahead of time, as some rides are closed for maintenance. Sadly, we missed the Pirates of the Caribbean boat ride, which was something we were looking forward to. But all in all, a great experience. _________________ Pet Friendly Hotels |
