Banff/Lake Louise, Alberta, Western Canada
Located in the heart of Canada's Banff National Park, Lake Louise ranks as one of the most scenic mountain resorts in North America, if not the entire world. Banff/Lake Louise has three different ski areas (Mount Norquay/Mystic Ridge, Sunshine Village, and Lake Louise) that are roughly 30 miles apart _________________ Peter Parker

If you're a novice you probably won't have to worry too much about the resorts. There should be quite a few nice slopes for you at most resorts. I believe there is also heli-skiing (helicopter drops you off on top of a mountain) in some places in Canada. But that might be a bit out-gradient for you. _________________ travel agent Atlanta Geogia

Agreed there are many a fine resort in Canada for beginners. In fact sometimes the less publicized resorts make for better skiing than crowded expensive popular resorts. More room to make mistakes without crashing into someone and more fresh powder for you when it snows.
That said, Whistler, Sun Peaks, Big White... all fantastic. Sun Peaks has a nice 5 mile long beginner run. _________________ disneyland hotel |

All my Canadian friends tell me Whistler is the ticket. Blackcomb is right next door so you can't really go wrong!
The only problem right now is the Olympics.. |
