LOOKS LIKE NOT WORTH SPENDING MONEY ON THIS COMPANY AS I NEVER GOT A REPLY TO ANOTHER POST I DID ALSO. I was hoping someone would reply even something about Real Value Motorhomes in Canada or USA.
Thanks |

There are no doubt dozens of motorhome companies in Vancouver. The chances of one forum member here having first hand experience that they can share with you, within your urgent timeframe, is probably slim.
Did you try leaving a message on their answerphone? _________________ UK Hotels - UK Selfcatering - UK B&Bs - UK Attractions

Thanks for your post on this matter.
We have left messages on the answer machine and left my email address last time. We left a message through their site and made other enquiries recently. In Australia they say they go through Apollo Motorhomes which is one of the best or the best one in Australia but they do not really know them. It appears it all starts with imall.com which is a New Zealand company - that's the company that answers when you phone the Australian contact. This is very strange.
If the price is too good to be true - it probably is.
We checked Google Earth for the Vancover address and it is a dirt track with no buildings on it but a trucking terminal is the next closest place.
When you go to the Senior Motorhome Rental site it includes the Real Value site in it and we can not contact the senior motor home company. Looks like someone is good at making up internet sites and if someone books through the site they hopefully get a motorhome company to supply a motorhome.
We are now contacting Fraserway Motorhomes to see if they will do a good price. They look like a real company. Google Earth shows lots of motorhomes at their office so that is a good start.
Thanks again. |

If you've left multiple messages over a period of time (ie. enough time for them to have responded to at least one), then I think that probably answers your question. Personally I'd only send my business to someone who at least seemed remotely interested in it. _________________ UK Hotels - UK Selfcatering - UK B&Bs - UK Attractions

Hi
I am the General Manager of iMall Motorhomes Ltd (parent company iMall Brands Ltd)
Real Value - Real Value RV Rental, Real Value Motorhome Rental is a brand owned by iMall Motorhomes Ltd (a.k.a. iMall Brands Ltd) This brand name is apportioned to one of our top RV / Motorhome rental suppliers in each country we operate in. The Senior Motorhome Hire website also quoted is another of our websites. Here is our main set of websites in Canada rvrentalcanada.ca
We are very good at making up websites ivysarah - thank you for the compliment. We are also very good at the whole business of brokering and booking Motorhome rentals for thousands of customers travelling in over 14 countries per annum. This includes the efficient processing of bookings and answering of customer queries. So I would very surprised and very upset with our team of 10 reservations staff if you had left us several messages and emails over a long period of time that we did not respond to.
Also prices on our website are never too good to be true. Our buying power allows us to negotiate and deliver pricing that is very competitive and always as good as and very often much better than what you may get direct.
A couple of other peices of advice for you if I may. Firstly READ. If you are going to book a Motorhome with us or any other business whether they be the vehicle owner or an agent make sure you have read the full terms and conditions and understood them particularly payment terms and cancellation term. Don't just tick the box called "Yes I have read and understood the Terms" - READ THEM FIRST.
Booking a motorhome close to your travel date is never a good idea. Rv / Motorhomes are not like rental cars where supply is plentiful and where you will seldom be faced with cancellation charges should you change your mind on the deal. You can be liable for up to 100% Cancellation fees with probably well over 50% of Motorhome Rental companies if you are cancelling a vehicle within 7 days or travel. All Motorhome Rental companies will be imposing at least 50% Cancellation within 7 - 14 days of travel. Lessor cancellation fees can apply as far out as 50 days or even from time of booking being placed. This is one reason why we are so active in confirming bookings and answering customer queries because when someone like ivysusan confirms a booking with us and then decides to back out of it the vehicle owner can chase us for cancellation fees and we in turn chase the customer..
If any customer has problems getting hold of our Motorhome reservations team at any time here is my personal email address rohan@imallbrands.com and phone number +64 9 950 2123 This is a New Zealand number so please remember timezones. I'm confident I won't be run off my feet with customer complaints or queries and if I am we will be having a serous look and overhaul of our systems and practices.
Thank you
Rohan Marx

Looks like I may have inadvertently sent a PM on this last week instead of a post. Here is another try:
Hi Rohan
Thanks for your post last year which gave up confidence on the Real Value site. I am a bit slow at replying but thought I would advise everyone on our experience with your company and Real Value.
It was a terrific experience with IMall and Four Seasons and we did 10,500klm traveling from Vancouver - Lake Louise & Banff - Colorado - Denver - Death Valley - LasVegas and then back to Vancouver along the coast road.
We had a Van Conversion which is a good smallish van for such a long trip. Half the nights we stayed at Walmarts car park. All Walmarts did not mind you staying there basically as people buy stuff there. You should not stay more than a night or two at the same one. LasVegas and some WalMarts along the coast do not let you stay at them because the van parks have made the councils pass ordinances making it illigal.
Back to the company - IMall is the company in New Zealand you pay for the mobilehome which is a very good company. They make internet sites to advertise mobilehomes for hire. Real Value is one such site. Just to confuse you a bit more IMall selected a company for us in Vancouver called Four Seasons. Four Seasons you could say would be the best mobilehome company in Canada/USA. That's our experience. The vans are usually less than 3 years and ours was quite new with 80,000 klm on it. Four Seasons is located with it's parent company FraserWay. Fraserway have an enormous property with lots of new & as new vans undercover in a new enormous building with the spare parts section. Fraserway also hire vans but are newer and cost more.
With the insurance we took out the IMall insurance but we had no problems. It is confusing deciding on the insurance and it may be preferable to take out the Four Seasons insurance. Because if there was to be a claim you would deal direct with Four Seasons instead of paying them and claiming on IMall insurance.
We got a half off the milage/klms and a third off the hire but you have to nominate the klms up front to get the half off. We only paid for 8,000klms but did 10,500klms so had to pay full price for the 2,500klms. It was worth it because it was a great trip.
We also did the Alaska trip with Holland America Line. It also was a great experience.
