Africa is big, it has many great places and in some restaurants the food is great. It usualy is warm over there.
Sorry Julia, but with such a general question you`re bound to get a very general reply too... Best be a bit more specific.... |

Africa is not just big, it is HUGE. You have to narrow it down to get more definite answers. If you are looking for an African Safari experience, the following countries would be great for you:
Kenya
Tanzania
South Africa
Uganda
For Primate Safaris including tracking Gorillas and chimpanzees, I suggest
Uganda
Rwanda
Congo
Places to stay vary from International chain hotels like Intercontinental, Sheraton, Hilton to small back parking lodgings. It all depends on your budget. If you can let us know which countries you are looking to go to, we can narrow down the details for you.
Egypt and Morocco are two awesome destinations in Africa too. _________________ " it's not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years" |

Africa is huge and country has it's own attractions, Zambia and Zimbabwe are my favorite places, The Zambezi valley is one of the places to see large herds of elephant, plus you have the wonder of seeing Victoria Falls.
Then comes Namibia where you can see colosal sand dunes , vast expanses of desert and immerse yourself in the culture of the Kalahari bushmen.
Then Botswana followed by SOuth Africa. Let us know what you are looking for and then we can narrow it down and give you tips, places to see first.

Africa is all basically very dry and there is so much lacking in many things like food, water, living etc.If you want to visit it than you go with your friends not with family. _________________ Hotel Rooms Barcelona |

The huge continent has a lot to offer tourists depending on your area of interest.
But there is a secret tourist place not overused. That is GABON 'The last Eden"
It lies absolutely in the tropics with an average yearly temperature of 80 F. A great tropical rainforest spreads across the country with some unique animals never to be found elsewhere. There are local restaurants and French cuisines. You may think about this place.
If you want to be lazy and lie at the beach, drinking and eating at French hotels, then consider the small country called Togo in West Africa. It is good for that. _________________ www.galveston-vacations.com |

Not every part in Africa is that dry, Congo for example has a huge rainforest, there are also some rainforests in Madagascar.
If you want to visit Africa you really need to be a bit more specific as to what you are looking for, otherwise it's impossible to really help you because of the huge differences within africa. _________________ Travel Madagascar

It's a bit like saying 'I'm interested in Asia, where do i start?' A very difficult question!!
It's a massive, varied continent, and I doubt very many people in the world have seen all of it. If you were looking for a good place to start exploring it, I could recommend a few.
1. South Africa - You can self-drive it, there's little time difference between Europe and S.A. so no jet lag, the food is great as is the wine, you can safari, chill out on some stunning beaches, whale-watch, mountain climb, so many opportunities.
2. Morocco - A bit more full-on than South Africa if you're looking for a bit more of a culture shock, this is your place. Food is awesome, markets are amazing, you can visit the Sahara and climb the Atlas mountains.
3. Egypt - Pyramids need to be seen once in your life. Bring your sun cream and prepare yourself for the madness of Cairo.
4. Kenya/Tanzania - Best safaris in the world, Masai Mara, Serengeti, Kilimanjaro and the beaches of Zanzibar _________________ Kieran

Wow, that's a broad question... I mainly know about East Africa (Zanzibar, Kenya, Tanzania) so can help you if you have any specific questions about those places. _________________ The Zanzibari is a boutique beach Zanzibar hotel located in the village of Nungwi.
For private and custom Kenya safaris around National Parks such as Lake Nakuru choose Ziara for that personal touch. |
