Returned to Edinburgh after 11 years away and I have to say it is an awesome city and I didn't realise how much I missed it. The Grassmarket, the Royal Mile, Princes Street Gardens as well as teh wonderful Holyrood Park etc, is great. It's also the most beautiful city in the UK, no question. _________________ Costa Del Sol Wedding - Edinburgh b&b - Travel blog - Fitness Treadmills |

I left for 5 months to live in Los Angeles, but other than that I've been here for 40 years and wouldn't want to live anywhere else. Regularly walk around, through, over the city and love the views, the architecture, the people, the buzz, the culture. Exciting and busy when the Festivals are on in the summer and at Christmas/New Year, dreary and driech when the rain comes down, but never boring. Always something to do and somewhere cosy to have a coffee with friends. _________________ Sandcastle Holidays (Scotland) Ltd

i like edinburgh, it's just far enough away to count as a holiday but still close enough to only take a couple of hours in the car.
been a few times, always seem to be drawn to the castle for some reason, i just enjoy walking around the city.
once made the mistake of going on a weekend when the football was on, thought it was a bit busier than normal. _________________ Alcudia Holidays |
