It's not hard to get a job in Dubai as far as I know, job vacancies in Dubai are advertised in many places. US, UK and Australian passport holders are paid well there. It's a good idea to demand a lot if you're from there. _________________ The World is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page. - St. Augustine

That's not true, when you get a job, then you can easily get a resident visa. In fact, you can' get a resident visa if you don't have a job, or some prpperty in UAE. How easy is to get a suitable job depends on your qualifications and passport, expats from the west are paid better than those from Asia, Africa, etc. |

I got a job offer for Dubai but my problem is how to find a nice appartment to live. All I could find so far about Dubai property is this and I don't know if that's trustworthy or not. So if anyone can share some information how to find a flat in Dubai, I would be more than thankful. _________________ The world is a book and those who don't travel read only a page. |

Hmm interesting,... I'm actually looking out for some expats in that area to chat with (for a piece I'm writing)
Anybody wants to share their experiences would be greatly appreciated.

| Hi there! I've a friend who lives in Dubai, and I'm going to visit him soon. I'm even considering staying there for a while if I can find a job. I was thinking about real estate sector, as I already have a remarkable experience in it. I was doing some research on the internet, and I've found there are quite a few great British developers operating in Dubai, e.g. TFG (http://www.thefirstgroup.com) is currently working on several residential properties in Dubai. Do you think it's worth approaching those companies and ask if they have any vacancies, even if they're currently not advertising any? And would it be better to do that in the UK or once I'm already in Dubai? Thanks in advance for your advice! |

I would advise again it righ now... The country is going through some mico crisis right now. i would advise to sit back for 6 months and keep a close eye on the UAE data. Once you know the crisis is over than go in and as visitor coming from the west you will not have issue gettin a job. Currently many people are leaving Dubai for greener pastures. _________________ "Holiday Help" know before you go

i have just come back from dubai yesterday i was there for 3 days. There is lots of women and as much alcohol as you can drink. just have to go to the right place and there are many places wher they serve alcohol.
Finding work take as much effort as it does in the uk or anywhere else,as long as you put the effort in you will find work there. and like someone has already said... if you are going from the the uk, west europe usa you can demand a higher pay.
once you have a job you will not find it hard to get a visa. _________________ "Holiday Help" know before you go
