Hi,
I off to central america over xmas and am in two minds on which country to goto. Costa Rica or Honduras.
Im after some jungle trekking, some history and a beach to relax on at the end of my trip - and also dive.
Which is best?
Thanks _________________ Backpacker travel insurance Comparison | Travel Insurance Direct Promotion Code |

| Would probably choose Costa Rica due to political turmoil in Honduras. |

I would suggest you to select Costa Rica. It is a very nice place and is perfect to enjoy the kind of relaxing and peaceful vacation you have in mind. _________________ Bed and Breakfast |

Got married in Costa Rica and travelled about there for 16 days, absolutely mind blowing how amazing it is. Nature walks, trails etc are brilliant and I recommend you also visit Manuel Antonio for the beach. I heard good things about Puerto Viejo on the Carribean side but when I got there I realised it was quite popular with 20 something US students who like to smoke pot. Being a 30 something who no longer does, that was a real drag. Pun intended. _________________ Costa Del Sol Wedding - Edinburgh b&b - Travel blog - Fitness Treadmills |

| Apparently there are curfews in Honduras now and the old president came back, so there is bound to be more turmoil. I would recommend Arenal area of Costa Rica for jungle exploration and seeing the volcano. Gold Coast area of Guanaste for great beaches: Tamarindo, Playa Grande, Flamingo each have a different vibe that might suit you. If you fly in Liberia, all of this is within 2 hours driving from the airport. |

I live in Costa Rica so I am a bit partial. Costa Rica offers a wider variety of activities. X-Mas is a VERY busy time here though. Book early, hotels near the beaches will already be filling up. Check out the Arenal area, Manuel Antonio, Monteverde, Montezuma, Mal Pais. So many great places to check out. For diving you will want to head south towards Drakes Bay on the Pacific side.
You have your choice of White Sand Beaches, Black Sand or even Pink. Anyway, like I said, I'm a bit partial...
Cheers

Definitely I’d like to recommend Costa Rica which is one of the breathtaking countries where tourists throng in a huge numbers. It is a tropical country experiencing a number of distinct climatic zones.
Moreover, check out the places below according to your requirement:
Jungle Trekking: Monteverde Cloudforest Trek, Corcovado Naturalist Trek, Chirripo Standard Trek.
Historical Places: Corcovado National Park, Palo Verde National Park, Manuel Antonio National Park.
Beaches with Diving: Manuel Antonio, Tortuguero.
Hopefully the information above is enough for your tour. _________________ All happiness depends on a leisurely Romantic bed and Breakfasts |

Costa Rica is peaceful without much violence and is relatively cheap. Plus it has great coffee everywhere, or so I have heard. Plus the local girls love gringos which makes it a slice of heaven on earth for single available men. Tropical drinks and food is supposed to be good too. Enjoy. _________________ Sig removed because I turned out to be a spammer... silly me. |
