Hi all,
Thought it might be nice to share photographs of where we live and where we've travelled.
I'll set things in motion by posting the following shots (I have more but will save them for another time):
The English Lake District... where I live and work!
View over Prague, Czech Republic
One of my favourites... sunset on Table Mountain, Cape Town, SA
Feel free to comment, or post your own...!

Great Idea Paul. I'll try to track down some relevant pics. We only recently started getting our processed onto CD-ROM though, so our most beautiful shots from our travels are only on paper or slide right now. _________________ The Avatar? This thread should be loaded with great pictures, but few have been posted.
Perhaps others, like me, need an explanation of how to do it.
I have some pictures on my hard drive that I'd like to share, but the aardvark machine wants an internet url address. Do I have to upload the pictures to a website before I can post them? |

You have some nice shots there... I particularly like "A ray of light shines into Saint Peter's Cathedral" and "A misty Manhattan Beach pier". The Amsterdam is also really vibrant and interesting, but I feel it's spoilt slightly by the two people in the foreground of the shot, presumably on a boat. I think that image would be stronger if you cropped them out, but that's just my personal opinion.

Hey All!
I thought I'd get this ball rolling again
These are some photos located around the place I live, just to give you a little insight into Perth's northern suburb feeling
This photo is located on the Sunset Tourist Drive along the ocean away from Hillarys Boat Harbour, towards Scarborough Beach.
This is the same stretch of road, just further along!
A view of Hillarys Boat Harbour at night. To the left of the photo are all the restaurants located on the jetty. Behind the camera are also some little shops and a few restaurants to have a meal at. To the right of the photo is the enclosed beach area where people can swim. It is seperated from the boats, so very safe.
Hillarys Boat Harbour. Same photo as above, just taken towards the jetty with restaurants
This is the stretch of shops that is not located on the jetty. Mentioned a few photos ago, this is the behind camera shot
Whitfords Marine Park. The northern suburbs of Perth have a lot of different beaches. Many of them are located near a marine park, so it is fine to go water skiing there, and launch your boat from there to go fishing if you wish. This is a picnic stall located right next to the beach, which is on the otherside of the bush there.
Same deal here, the showers and restrooms.
Whitfords Marine Park Beach nice and clean, and not over populated.
I hope you guys have enjoyed looking at my photos. I will see if I can get a few more at some stage and also some of places my family and I have been to on holidays
Cheers! |

It's probably a good idea if we all stick to the same format, in the interests of continuity, etc. So, let's please stick to: 420 x 280 pixels (or 280 x 420 if your pic is the other way up!) and a maximum file size of 50K per picture.

Hey Paul...
Your last picture could be PERFECT if you were using the light metering option (in case you have it ofcourse) and spot the man. This way you will have a complete shadow of the man and the sun behind.
Beside, Nice shots... _________________ Properties In Israel - Buying or Renting your properties in Israel. Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Caesarea, Raanana and Herzliya Pituach.

This one is very close to my heart : every year (edition 7 already) we organise a Afro-Latino Festival in our hometown. This year we had groups like Kana, Zuco103,...It is a very small one (6500 people) but in Belgium and surrounding countries famous for its atmosphere, family happenings and good vibes ! _________________ Around 2500 pictures from Nepal /Nepal /

This one is at Everest Base Camp, after being 42 days in the Khumbu Region. Was invited by the Indian - Nepali army team for tea and biscuits. It was the 50th birthday of Everest, so quite a lot of teams getting ready in basecamp _________________ Around 2500 pictures from Nepal /Nepal /

Karnali Rafting in Nepal, class IV-V. 10 days on a raft : expedition style. Communication at least 2 day walk. Self sufficient. Fantastic trîp !
We had a small tropical storm that almost blew away the gear so everybody had to lay/hold down the gear. But it was good to get the temperature down _________________ Around 2500 pictures from Nepal /Nepal /
