787 'Dreamdiner' set to grace LA skies
A consortium of Hollywood movie stars has confirmed an order for a single Boeing 787 which it plans to use as a flying restaurant.
The aircraft, dubbed the "Dreamdiner", will be based at Los Angeles International Airport and will make daily two-hour flights along the coast of California while VIP diners/passengers enjoy cordon bleu cuisine during the flight.
The consortium of movie stars operates under the name In-flight Movie Stars (I.M.Stars) and includes well-known aviation enthusiasts Harrison Ford, John Travolta and Tom Cruise.
I.M.Stars is keen to emulate the success of other Hollywood-born franchises such as the Planet Hollywood and Hard Rock Café chains, as well as tapping into the super rich Hollywood community at whom the unique dining experience is aimed.
The aircraft will be configured to seat 50 diners in one sitting, all of which will enjoy the Michelin Star culinary offerings of French chef Monsieur Fou d'Avril.
The VIP configuration of the aircraft is set to be the first of its kind and has presented Boeing with a number of unique challenges.
A Boeing spokesman said that stopping the candles from falling over when the aircraft banked was proving tricky, but that they had recommended a technical solution to reduce the risk of turbulence which involved removing Soup of the Day from the menu.
An I.M.Stars spokeman said that, assuming the "Dreamdiner" proved a success, there were plans to expand the flying restaurant franchise into other major international cities including London, Paris and Dubai. However he was quick to quell rumours of an Airbus A380 configured for "Oktoberfest-style celebrations" based out of Munich.

Honestly, this seems like a really stupid idea to me. If I want to go site seeing I'll go site seeing, if I want a top meal I'll go to a nice restaurant, but I see very little point in mixing the two; The views from plane windows can be kind of cool, but unless it's going to be flying at relatively low altitude, IMO one patch work landscpae viewed from above looks pretty much like another (assuming similar terrain), it's not like you're going to be able to see much in detail, and that's assuming you get a window seat- I assume there are going to have to be non window seats, unless they're going to have an awful lot of dead space in the cabin?
Also, while I'm eating I don't want to be keeping an eye out the window, I'd rather eat my food!
TBH this whole thing just sounds like a pretentious gimmick, and one thats going to produce unnecessary amounts of pollution in the process; If it was a luxury flight service that offered a great meal, while taking you to a different location, I could understand more, but the impression I get from the article is that it's just going to be flying a circuit and landing at the place it takes off from.
Don't want to sound like a complete curmudgeon but I hope the venture falls flat on it's face! _________________ car hire Italy - car hire France - car hire Spain |

I knew something fishy was going on when I was told I had a missed call from a Mr Lyon and was given a London number to call back.
When I asked to speak to Mr Lyon the girl on the other end of the phone said "I think you have been set up". I asked her who she was and she said, "London Zoo". _________________ http://www.charmingvillas.net/

(What more need I say? hook, line and proverbial sinker *sigh* My only excuse is that I didn't find the article until Friday, so wasn't on the look out for April Fools, well, that & I can't resist the opportunity for a good rant... ) _________________ car hire Italy - car hire France - car hire Spain |

So Sparky who want to help me transfer some bank funds?
Sparky, lets see if we can get you to think outside the box
Place coins in a L shape like this on your desk
0
0
000
Now, add one coin and place it so there are four coins vertically and four horizontally.
Already I can see RT waving his hand saying I know. _________________ A sense of humor is the pole that adds balance to your steps as you walk the tightrope of life--W.A. Ward |

Since you didn't stipulate that the vertical & horizontal have to be striaght rows and columns I guess my initial thought would be to set them up like this:
_O
_O
_OOO
O
Although I suppose another answer might be to put the extra coin on top of the coin at the corner of the "L" shape, I think that would satisfy the conditions you're after too?
Any good DP? or are you going to keep on torturing me for being dumb enough to fall for an April Fool *sigh* _________________ car hire Italy - car hire France - car hire Spain |

The second time is the charm, just as you thought, place the new coin on top of the coin bottom left--four coins vertical and four coins horizontal.
Looks like RT won't be fooling you again. _________________ A sense of humor is the pole that adds balance to your steps as you walk the tightrope of life--W.A. Ward |
