While the vast majority of gay travelers are from Canada and the United States, Vallarta, recently has seen an increase in gay tourists from Europe and as far away as Australia. Gay men and women world wide are discovering and falling in love with the little spot of paradise that is Puerto Vallarta, making it Mexico’s and perhaps the world’s, gay mecca.

I agree with the poster - my partner and I just got back from Puerto Vallarta. In the whole Romantic Zone area it seemed there were many more gays than straights. And lots of lesbians, too. The hotels are nice, great bars and restaurants. We did meet some nice gays from Germany and from Spain, and of course US & Canada. We got our package on Fabugo which is supposed to be a good gay travel website. I compared our price to Travelocity and Fabugo was the same, but I wanted to stick with the gay site instead of big corporate America site Travelocity. My mom was a travel agent and she blames travelocity & expedia for losing her job. I know that isn't the reason, but still, it's nice to support a gay company, right? So, I also recommend Puerto Vallarta. Cool place. Friendly. Clean.
