Since, I am real busy with my hectic schedule; I thought that it would be a good place to relax for some days with my entire family. The reason I am here is that I don’t have any close associates that have been there, so I need advice from you people to help me know what are the do’s and dont’s that I need to take care of……..please do advice me on this.

Thanks in advance.

Kids included in your group? The Taronga Park Zoo includes a ferry ride over from Circular Quay. The Sydney Aquarium is also a good place for the younger ones as well.

Otherwise it depends a lot on what your and your family's interests are. Any more information you can provide would lead to some better suggestions.

When are you planning on holidaying in Sydney and how old are the kids?

With the Zoo and the Aquarium don’t think age really matters a good day out regardless. I don’t have Kids and still like visiting these places .

If you want to get away from the city for a few days why not head to the North Beaches of Sydney for a few days or head to Bondi or Manly for some fun in the Sun .

Or you could head to the blue mountain for a few days in the bush setting or go to the hunter valley for winery tours .

Maritime Museum is good - and most of it's free.

Oxford St. is a great place to go party, if that's what you seek. Blue Mountains is absolutely beautiful, and can be as relaxing or action-packed as you want it to be. Pittwater is a great place to do nothing and chill out, and there is not a lot of people (read: backpackers) around there.

I know the last to places are not in Sydney, but they're close enough, and really worth a visit.

Hi Wasten,

My family actually just visited me in Sydney from overseas.

Here is a quick list of things that they enjoyed.

1. Taronga Zoo
2. Sydney Opera House tour
3. Barracks Museum
4. "Hop on and off" bus tour
5. Manly Quarantine
6. Paddington Markets (on Saturday)
7. Bondi to Cogee coastal walk
8. Blue Mountains (make sure you stop at the Featherdale petting zoo- this was their favourite part)
9. Queen Victoria Building
10. Harbour boat rides

Hope this helps and that your family has a wonderful time.

You will love Syndey! Here's my take on the absolute must see's in Sydney, especially if you're pressed for time:

Sydney bridge and Opera house
Day trip to the Blue Mountains
Hop On and Off Bus (this will give you a very good idea of what's there to see in Sydney)
Bondi beach
Just relax at Sydney harbour (in my opinion the most beautiful harbour in the world)
Maybe Taronga Zoo for the kids
Sydney Aquarium (I loved it and er hmmm I am not a kid) Laughing

Have a fantastic holiday!
