Want to go into space on the Virgin Space Shuttle? You're out of luck if you have implants...

Wife; "I want implants"

Man; "But honey, you can't even travel to space with those!"

Yeah... that's gonna work.

Haha. I don't think implants will be the thing to stop most people, just look at the price :S
I think I'll wait a few years before I go.

In 2010 space flights will be affordable at $20,000 not for 30 seconds but for 5 minutes. Virgin Galactic will launch commercial space flights by next year at $200,000.

If it costs say $3 - 5,000 in 5 years, I 'd be tempted.

If the price drops to something like $5000
I'll definitely do it.

$5000 for 5 minutes' entertainment is a little too steep for my liking. It woiuldn't tempt me. I could take the entire family to Hawaii and back for that kind of money.

I agree if I'd consider it just entertainment.

However, I'd spend it for the fascination of
entering space if if just for 5 minutes. That has
been one of my biggest dreams ever since the first
moonlandings.

Another biggie is a cruise to the Antarctica. Might happen
next winter...

Funny, space and Antartica are my biggest dreams as well.
I hope and I think to realize these 2 dreams, if the guy watching over me from above agrees.

Hi Voltaire (terrific nic btw)

Nice to have a "soul mate" out there.

There's a Finnish proverb I quite like.
It doesn't translate well but I try to get
the idea accros.

"The longest distance between any two places
it the one between a persons ears".

a $1000 a minute is still a rich mans game. Id rather spend a few month on the beach in thailand than spend $5000 for 5 mins in space. I would be that excited that 5 mins would seem like 10 seconds and I wouldnt take anything in. plus people would be pushing you outa the way to get the best view for their money!
